here's a battle for you.
rules:
1) is a 1on1 battle
2) approx. 700x400, rot. OK
3) Prev. elem. visible
4) the challenger introduce first theme
5) a new theme is then introduced by poster after *each volley.
6) preferred 3 round (6 images)
7) prefer to *finish the battle within 1-2 months after start. (reasonable turnaround)
so for example. you set a theme, i post a volley according to your theme. then i set a new theme, then u post a volley of my theme with prev. elem. of my first volley..and so forth.
so if anyone wanna battle, you can start by setting the first theme!

if anyone really interested all he/she have to do to start this battle is *write a theme for me to do the *first serve. It's not so hard

btw, my attempt to participate in a battle for the 'dying' arena was shot by negativity already

Juju i think the issue nats has is similiar to what i posted in the poll thread. Starting a battle should be the easiest part of the battle.
Making it so someone has to decide what you do, then wait for you to do something, is causing this battle to stall before it even gets started.
Everyone watching will have to wait twice before the first image ever drops.

yes i agree, i understand the frustration of waiting and not knowing.
But in this case, to start this battle is as simple as writing a reply, nothing else. If they are interested they can just reply "yes, i like to battle you, your starting theme is ...... etc". My idea is that my challenger has a head start in getting the thing rolling.
If there was anyone who risks wasting time in this battle it is me, since im the one who actually do the first volley according to the challenger's suggestion. (The challenger risk nothing if they told me a theme, then i did first volley, then he/she bails., right?)
anyway, i will leave this invite for few days, if no one interested then i'll let this one go.

you're on! I love this place so much, the arena inspired me to become a graphic designer.
I'm going to go with a minimal theme, hopefully produce some stellar images by building off the previous volley than recreating a whole new image.
Expect a volley VERY soon, I'm starting now.
edit: didn't read this thread properly. I know you wanted me to select a theme for you but I'mma do something myself. Also, Natsia, to be fair atleast he's commited to do a few volleys. Better than nothing eh :)

BTW, squid, just wanted to say that the image is looking a little dark overall. But interesting composition nonetheless. My eye is quite intrigued.
