replace content with next swf after intro

Need help with a workflow situation (?). I continue to develop sites in Flash CS3 using AS2 with some sort of animated intro with stop action ending with nav bars and home page content all contained in one big MC.
I'm probably over thinking it, but when I place a smaller mc for changing content how do I get the home page content to go away and leave the nav bars and header?

My intro file and one link was too big to load here even when zipped.
I also searched previous threads and found one similar post from 2004 with no response to his question.
