Don't run intro once run -

I am developing an animation/presentation that will be housed on our company's server or will be run off a CD or DVD.

For each section there is an animation when it loads and I would like for the animation to run only once and after they have seen it not run again as this is a "tool" that will have people going from section to section often.

I believe for web stuff cookies are used but not sure that this applies in this case.
