I always knew him as Daniel Boone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15Gld8abN9w
R.I.P
I've only known him as the winemaker. Too young for B&W TV.
So you rebelled by getting a Bowie Guitar?
LOL
i think i must be from a different generation cuz i havnt got a clue who that is :/
He he! I remember my first guitar was a Selmer 222, 8 guineas, cheap but playable fortunately. Putting on another concert for the kids in Romania next week, 4 or 5 acts including a band from the local school. Really glad I had a pick up fitted to my old acoustic last year, it makes life a lot easier.
The reference to Davy Crockett took me back to playing Cowboys and Indians when I was a lad; such was the power of the dream of the Wild West.
I loved my bowie knife. I ha d a cap gun too. My parents wouldn't let me play with the tomahawk after the accident.
My brothers and I appreciated Crockett but were too hell-bent on acquiring rambo knifes and throwing stars.
