Anyone know of a program that can just overlay some text for the duration of a video? I know windows movie maker has some capability but is extremely limited, I'm hoping to find something that will let me choose exactly where to put the text on the screen as well as the font, size, color, et cetera...
Any tips would be extremely helpful, thanks so much.
do you need it for a long time or just 1 video? Get the trial to premiere or even the elements version of it.

Well I would suggest premiere elements 9 for only $80. It's a decent package.

Perhaps CineFx? It's opensource, free... there used to be one I had used before, but it was Linux only.
CineFX is a nice suggest. For i have been fondling with that software, but i can't get anything done in it for i am only that talented :( Are there any tutorials as to how this software works.
Also, can it do keying? compositing? does it have plug-in support? if so, what are those plug-ins. Just a few questions that i have. Would be great if i could get this info.
