Need more information. Like... what were your expenses, your take home pay and what exactly is "Other"? Mafia paybacks?

Where: Licenses - money from selling exclusive/primary licenses, Ads - money from advertisements, Others - selling url-locks, non-exclusive, sources, Portal - money from ads on portal (there are other sources of income there, but they are all small and all less than $100), Micro - money from micro-payments.Quote:

Nice figures Badim, and it's been a stellar year for Indie developers hasn't it? Specifically Mojang Specification's runaway success comes to mind.
Btw are those are revenue figures before expense right?

Эрм, вообще-то 145 штук, пусть даже за 3 года, это очень прилично. Даже для США. Вадим молодец - делал бы я столько же, тоже бы хвастался :p

Но все равно, 145 штук - 45 в год. Для россии хорошо, для штатов не очень

скорее всего так и есть, только она умалчивает о mortgage payments, medical bills, taxes, car insurance и прочие fked up costs. зарабатывают ли они больше? - да, но и тратят они ГОРАЗДО больше.

Did you also have a part-time/full-time job to suppliment that income?
We make a very small percentage of our revenue from web-work and real estate compared to my regular $60-70k job that pays the bills.
I'm hoping to reverse that ratio sometime in the near future and not be dependant on someone else's business plan to pay my bills.
It would be ideal if our web business expanded, as well as one of our organic vineyard/honey/wine/tea/restaurant/cafe ideas took off to fill that financial gap and let us be independant of someone else's direct influence over our income.
The American Dream... here's hoping that the Republicans haven't completely sold us out to the multi-national corporations yet.
God knows I haven't been able to compete in the retail market for the last 15-20 years against them.
Printing supplies, pet supplies, restaurant equipment, carpentry tools, etc... you bastards!

American made still means something where I'm from, LR. Not sure what the Russians are going on about but I think it has to do with whether that's a good income in America or if it's actually about what a male nurse makes in 18 months.
Say there's a guy who charges $500 a month in the US to do full-time server consulting, and a company in India that charges $50 a month for the same thing. American made means the guy in the US can afford to have 1/10th as many customers, and they're all going to be happier... but he's still not making what he wants to make. It's relative. Expenses in the US are huge. Insurance, car, rent, etc. The real trick is to do what I did...earn in US dollars, pay taxes to keep your passport, and live in the rest of the world.
i`m not bragging - just showing how much flash-game-development can do. and its not to brag about - i`m average gamedev, with average games - no hits =(Quote:
