I hate my job because I am truly under paid, and the person who is my supervisor knows less than me but is a friend to the boss. I always have to clean up her mess, and I don't get paid more to do it. I try to be as civil as I can, but it's just so unfair!
Because the people I work with are bunch of grown up idiots that think everyone is out to get them or con them including the employees at the company. Good enough?

Why is it that everyone thinks they know how to design better than the designer.
I wouldn't go to an engineer and tell him how to build a bridge or a tell a writer how to write a novel so why is it that it is the most visually impaired people, uncreative Marketing w***nkers and business people think they know how to layout, which cols and fonts to use etc don't give a **** about copyright,think you make pretty pictures all day, think a whole cd rom can be made in a morning ?
Then when they think they can have freelance work done on the cheap they'll come to you?

i appreciate feedback and discussion with clients/colleagues etc but i'ts ridiculous. is this the same everywhere or is it just where i work? coz they don't seem to do this to the tech depts.

marketing people are failed designers that speak the language of management, are responsible to other managers who prayer at the temple of profit forecasts.
designers speak their own language and thus need translators to deal effectively with their managers.
designers - learn their language and then replace them.

I think it actually says "Phrozen Crow" behind his head, I believe that was a chain of ill fated shops which just sold frozen crows, a shame really as I have never found a decently frozen carrion bird since they shut down.........

I hate my job because.. its one of those nasty weekend things in order to raise enough tuition money for next year. (Ugh. This costs too much. But a Masters in Digital Art looks really shiney (intentional misspelling, SwishY..)..)
Plus its this girl shop that sells nail polish and.. feather boas. I am the most.. anti "guuuurrl" ever.. (Have you noticed?)

The people I work with are great it's just that the work can be a bore, we do corporate design here and you can't get to funky with the CEO's presentations:)

Actually, the tech dept gets to take it in the *** once in a while. I love people who think it's easy to make 30 copies of a cd (when you don't have a multiple burner), make outlandish promises to a client without even thinking about what is technologically feasible, etc.
I'm also in the "hate my job 'cause I'm looking for a new one" category. I'm moving to Lawrence, KS in 3 weeks and don't have anything lined up yet. Just got a call from a couple recruiters, so hopefully that will turn up something.
