There are a lot of great web designers under 18 I know... but who would you consider designs the best? I am 17 right now and have been working on rebuilding my website since May now.....when it's done I'll have my own domain and everything....maby even become a top desinger.....maby!
But really, what do you think are the best sites around designed by people 18 and under?

I just think I have a good eye for what looks nice. Its the public that decides whether I have talent or not.

Considering that no one is actually able to view another persons abilities without having to spend that extra time clicking a link. (no more flash footers) I'd say that everyone has the potential to create a production worthy of any award or recognition. Such as being the top designer under 18.
I think glooms is pretty good and definately designs above his age. Not to overinflate his ego any.;)
his ego is already over-inflated.
I'm just waiting on one more puerile tantrum from him when his site isn't chosen as Site of the Day here, or elsewhere.

best designers here, are the ones that don't brag. me? I'm not even a designer by trade.
I DO like Masa's site though. Same for DigitalOne's site.
My site currently sucks. Not as bad as some people. As long as a site doesn't have that MIDI music playing in the background.

I'm a newbie here (to the forums), and have recently gotten into flash.
I'm 13 years old... So far, I'm learning lots from other downloadable flash files here (this site rules!) :D but I just thought I'd let you guys know that there are some excellent flash people on here... I know one's about 15 or 16... Although I don't know his screename. but just 2 days ago I made a flash file that I impressed myself with, but it probably wasn't worth much, since I'm new, lol... It followed a story. A sentence would fade in and then fade out over a black backgound. then, it would go a deep red, display a more important sentence, go white, and then a paragraph would roll up the page. The background is now changing colors, and there's two swords in the background fighting.. whew! well that's a smll summary of it... whoops that was spam, but I thought I'd let you know that I'm a ... Flasher in Training! That's it! lol :D

why does everyone think of 'designers' as only webdesigners and don't look at the other types of designers? There are plenty: industrial, Multimedia, Graphice, furniture, landscape, web and many more.
Oh yeah, and just coz your 18 means jack squat. So what if you're 18 or under...it doesn't mean that you're any good or anything. What determines whether you're good or not varies on a couple of things. One of which I believe is the communication aspect. If you effectively communicate something...then you've succeeded. Whether the general public like it or not is yet another aspect to your success.

Yep... people around 18 are full of NEW ideas that a 40 years old can't have! ;)
I always find it dissapointing that all young trainee designers choose to ignore html in favour of Flash. Sure flash is a cool tool in the right hands, but I always get the impression that it is being favoured by young designers simply because it is extremley easy to get the perfect page layout, without the hassle of tables etc. Obviously this is not true of all young designers but alot I think, although i dont expect you to admit to it. lol. Also, another big problem is impatience, especially amongst the young, Im only 19 myself so i dont want to sound like an old git, but it seems, that whenever i look at alot of the sites in the members sites forum, I get the imression that these sites have been knocked up in only a few hours, without any serious thought about the layout audience etc. Sure there is some great young talent around, but very little.
Prove me wrong please...show me the sites and all take all my words back lol

True Dat!!! lol.Most older people are not that creative because they didn't have computers back when they were growing up, so they don't know how to use them.For example, my parents wouldn't even know how to turn the computer on. Well my mom does since she works at a hospital but she doesn't do anythign hard, its all using there system I think.Just enter things like names, addresses, and thats it.
