How do I impress a girl?

I'm 21 and I'm in college and there's a girl that I like in my Thermodynamics class. She talks to me because she thinks I'm smart due to the fact that I can do some problems in my head. In reality, she's a lot more studious than I could ever be.

I bought her some chocolates for her birthday which coincidentally fell close to valentines day. For me the gift seemed bland and generic, and not my style which usually entails giving people music that I like (Nirvana/Live).

However, I don't want to appear overbearing/desperate. Yet our conversations rarely drift from class issues.

I'm fairly liberal with my money despite my lack of it. But since I recently got an email from Adobe asking if they can showcase my work I have minimal consideration about money at the moment.

I'd like to impress but not frighten. Any ideas?

i was gonna post some stupid comment... but i feel like being serious today so..

from my experience (very few of..) its best that u can make her feel comfortable being next to u is the bestest first impression. To do that i'd try to make her happy by making her laugh. Although this is really depend on what sense of humour she has and it's up to u to work that out. i think u should have some happy little conversations to help break her 'ice'

and this should make it easier if u wanna get boogied with her later on.

Just tell her how ugly she is and that she will never get anything better than you so she might as well settle for you...works everytime.

Make her a personalized flash file that promotes your love for her and leav it on her doorstep or on her dorm door.....that always works..... LOL!!!!!!!!!! ;)

That ought to be a clue, right there. Usually girl's have no trouble letting you know they are interested. So maybe keep your eyes open and see who she's interested in if it isn't you.

Do nothing cheesy, just be yourself and talk to her. Start small, but keep your intentions clear - you want to discuss more than thermodynamics.

Women want two things most of all...to feel secure and to have a good time. The first is primal, they want a provider and a protector...to keep them from physical harm and to provide a solid financial foundation on which they can rely. The second just makes good sense. Who the heck doesn't want to have a good time? Make her laugh, feed her well, and you'll have a happy partner. If you can't make her smile then walk away now, because it's not meant to be.

If you meet the initial criteria you can then move on to making sure she knows you value her opinions and that you enjoy cuddling after sex and long walks in the park. Then if that works out you can let her know that you apologize for staring, but you can't help but get lost in the sparkle that you see in her eyes. (at this point make sure you look down sheepishly...then return your gaze to judge her reaction, letting your eyes tell her how badly you want to be with her) If that doesn't get you into her heart and her pants, nothing will! :D

OK, he got turned down a lot, but in the high 60's, it was acceptible to be weird. On the other hand, he also picked more women than any other two guys I knew.

Yeah, the law of averages is going to work for you in that case. I guess you just need to ask yourself if you want to be known as the guy who asks every woman he sees if they want to get it on. :)

And yeah, I guess that are also plenty of women who are only interested in that, but those aren't the ones I'm interested in. I'm not big on other people's sloppy seconds, personally. I know everyone comes with a history, but I'd rather it didn't include screwing anything that showed an interest in them.

the worst thing that can happen is she'll say no and you lost your chance to actually get a yes if you wait a lil bit longer.

Heh, there is some truth in that, actually. I don't recommend the face slapping until you get to know her a little better, but women are attracted to strength and most of them want to be dominated to an extent on some level. The key words there are 'to an extent' and 'on some level'. You don't want to wack them on the head with a club or disregard her opinions, but taking the initiative in deciding where you are going to dinner or grabbing a hefty chunk of hair while you are giving her the business will give you mucho manly points and make her go all a-quiver.

Just an observation after nearly forty years on this earth. I didn't make the rules, just happened to make a note or two along the way.

Sadly things don't go that way around here RUSHVision... or at least none of the ladies that I known are like that.

I think though that you have to agree that it really depends on what kind of girl you’re after. Me I go after the good country girls that make me work to get them. She loves it when I'm "rough" with her. She just happens to like a man that’s big and is confident.

Basically what we are trying to say is that women like a man they can rely on generally. One that will protect them and be there when frankly most guys to day would just look the other way.
