CHANDRAYAAN 1's success has put India and Indians on cloud nine. Every one seems to be enthused by the great sucess that our moon mission.
The MIP crashed at a place called the Shackleton crater in the south polar region of the Moon and put the Tricolour on the Moon. The crater also is possible site for future human missions to the moon.
Hurray to all the scientists for taking India to the moon !

For some reason, I've always considered India to be one of those third world countries, where the only job is making clothes or being a technical support person:rolleyes: . Apparently that has changed. Not that big of a deal. The US did it first, and that's what matters. :D

It seems like a milestone to me, but I'd like to know what future there is in it. What tangible accomplishments can be attributed to putting people on our moon or in space for that matter. What possible benefits are there to it?

Now. What else do you see that needs to be done? Clear, concise sentences would be preferred. Not some oddly written sentence.
I acknowledge your and Hurricaneone's perspective, I really did, no doubt about it, though I don't know what did you mean by 'or silence', which really comes out rather rude, especially coming from a knowledgeable person like yourself.

Even though hanratty21's post started out as how a normal person would have a perception about people from different countries which I agree with, I was not pleased with the 'light bulb' sarcasm, which I am sure any other person from any other country won't take it for what is seen as their major scientific development.
I am not ordering around anything, neither I am like that or I have the power. My sentences are really thought out and crystal clear and I keep at it.
I really think the way Adobemedia and silverx2 are discussing in their last posts seems so absurd and kiddish, that, since observing their previous posts by these fellows on other topics, I am sure they are not that dumb, which concludes that their only intention is defamation.

In regards to the jibes and jokes, take them in stride. I've had to endure (even in this thread) that oft-referred to stereotype of Americans, SUV's, french fries... blah blah. Not one single person on this board doesn't know of another country's stereotype.
