I always thought he would live forever.
RIP.
I was shocked to see reports of this in my morning news, although I guess eveyone has to die sometime and somehow.
davidp
Hmm - will wait until the morning to get confirmation on this..
Was just looking at this:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8119951.stm
I have tickets for his uk concerts..
Man.. he is (was) an odd chap but his music is awesome..
Yeah just heard that he may not be dead...
Way for the media to blow that one. There are millions of people crying right now possibly over nothing.
ah well, it's either the biggest, quickest media furphy yet, or he is really dead. Either way it's news.
BBC say he's in a coma.
Farrah and Michael both in one day... WOW!
He is probably pulling an 'Elvis'.
He'll show up here and there, hidden behind a big beard and false nose for the next 40 years.
A bowling alley in Sacremento, a burger bar in Byron Bay, eating a sandwich in Hyde Park.

How classic would this be if he did all this for publicity for his upcoming tour? He just bust out of the hospital thriller style followed by doctors doing the dance.
Reports on the local morning TV news now say his death has been confirmed.
david
Just confirmed.
Poor guy finally crawls out from under a rock only to be crushed by another.
RIP, Chester the Molester. Great history in music, only to be scarred by his propensity for touching children inappropriately.
would thought the arena would be declared dead before MJ
RIP the king of pop. This is huge news.
Dude was a straight up weirdo thats for sure. But he had amazing talent.
Very messed up day.
A sad day in music history.
What a sad, terrible day.
This is Michael Jackson Official Calendar 2009: Thriller 25th Anniversary Special Edition The Final Act!
Do you remember this: Invincible by Michael Jackson ?
RIP King of Pop. You and your music will be missed.
bah. i thought this would have happened years ago.
I thought his transformation into a cyborg was almost complete. I figured he would live forever. Or at least till he melted...
Maybe he'll come back as one of the Thriller zombies.
Absolutely gutted. I watched it live on TV last night (in the UK) as they were trying to confirm. It's so hard to believe...
What a day, the King of pop dead. found these
I wonder what will happen to the kids? All three are not biologically his.
The ex wife story is downright freaky.
ok, enough already, media. I have had a gutful already. Too many MJ songs, videos, commentary
...the guy died. Big deal, we all eventually die somehow, sometime.
<edit>
...god knows how many others died on the same day, and many of them did not die of excesses but of starvation.
davidp
Turn off your TV or change the channel. It's that damn simple. I've not been interrupted at all in my viewing of anything television.
I suggest it to all or else you'll end up being overwhelmed.
And besides, no **** other people died on that day. Cap'n Obvious has left the building.
sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone here.
I just get tired of how the media uses stuff to get ratings so they can sell more advertising space.
david
....and changing the channel will not work.
I'm not offended by anything other than people airing out easily avoided grievances. I've not seen one website all day that had any MJ news upfront.
I too am tired of it, so in the car I listened to only my music. In the house, I tend to watch only Cartoon Network or sports anyway, so between UFC and Tom & Jerry, not one bit of MJ news.
And on the web, I've been researching AS3, particles, Away3D/Papervision3D/Five3D and whatnot, as well as hitting up my favorite gadget sites and still no MJ news.
I don't know how you're getting bombarded where I'm not.
Agrees with David. went out today. Every place I walked into was playing MJ (supermarket, gas station, sub shop) Surfing news channels as well.
45 Banks failed this year 5 went down this week alone and yet MJ steals the cover.
I'll sell you my method to avoid hearing news like this - no Farrah Fawcett, no Michael Jackson and luckily, no Neda either.
The handy dandy brochure is forthcoming for 1.00 USD apiece.
Are you sure about this. My understanding is that he fathered the two older children to his then wife, who later 'signed over' all rights to the kids for some number of millions of bucks.
from WIKI
and as for the third and youngest -Quote:
During the Australian leg of the HIStory World Tour, Jackson married dermatologist nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe, with whom he fathered a son, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. (also known as "Prince"), and a daughter, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson.[96][104] The pair first met in the mid-1980s, when Jackson was diagnosed with vitiligo. She spent many years treating his illness as well as providing emotional support. They built a strong friendship, then became romantically involved.[105] Originally there were no plans to marry, but following Rowe's first pregnancy, Jackson's mother intervened and persuaded them to do so.[106] After the couple divorced in 1999, with Rowe giving full custody rights of the children to Jackson, they remained friends.
davidQuote:
The mother's identity was never released by Jackson, but he has said the child was the result of artificial insemination from a surrogate mother and his own sperm cells.
http://www.abcnews.go.com/Entertainm...7934658&page=2Quote:
In February 2008, Rowe told British newspaper the Daily Mail that she had been artificially inseminated but would not give details concerning whether the sperm used belonged to Jackson or another man.
Its the same deal with "Oh that song is so over-played on the radio", just. You know. Change the station.
Michael Jackson i love you :-()
And if you're a prepubescent boy then he loved you too. :lovers:
ha ha ha u guys r so cool with ur sarcasm, its just uber ha ha ha
Oh, I get it guys. adit's being cool with HIS sarcasm too!
If you've never tried to moonwalk, you can avoid this thread. Normally I'm unmoved about a celebrity death and ignore coverage but this is a rare loss imo and I for one am saddened by it. Not "affecting my life and happiness" sad, just appropriately sad to see the worlds first super-uber-mega talent gone. I've quite enjoyed the vh1 programming.
In contrast though, I was far more distraught when Kurt Cobain died. Micheal wasn't exactly in his prime nor full of potential hits. With Kurt and Bradley Nowell, we really missed out on what they would have done next.
