Well, the blonde chick was pretty hot too. She used to be on Damages (another fave of mine.) Anyway, the show was incredibly bad. I have a friend who works on the set. I called her after the pilot -- told her to start looking for a new job. :scared:

Stargate Universe... lemme ask this. I like the show, it's gritty, almost a replacement for Battlestar... however did that doctor tell the "enemy" where they were, thus the crying scene?
That's the one part that... confuses me.
Are you talking about ep.1? If so which part? If not don't say I haven't watched ep. 2 yet.
Thursdays Fringe was arguably the quintessential episode. I love the way they've improved on the x-files formula. This one was a head drop revealer.
Oh ok, the wife filled me in. The "enemy" (Gould) are the race from the first movie and there's the Azgaurd which are race as powerful but good and look like greys. Then there's the Ancients who built the gates and have since transcended their physical forms and traveled beyond the rim to put it in Babylon 5 terms. It's not clear why the Gould attacked but likely to prevent anyone from getting the 9th symbol working first. The doctor was crying because he realized how cut off he was from his wife even though it's not clear how long she's been gone.
The crying doctor bothers me. Something about him is just... off.
Yeah I'm sure about the casting or writing for his character. That whole oblivious science officer thing is really played out. Event Horizon, Sunshine and a few more I'm sure. But I guess the Stargate series have a habit of eventually making everyone very likable. I hope they don't take him on a Baltar arch.
Give us an updated Babylon 5, that would be far superior
Dexter is stressing me out. **** his family get on with killing :). That baby is going to ruin him. I am not even close to the situation he is in but damn could I relate to his hating the people around him in the last ep haha
As much as I find myself enjoying Castle I think it's time for them to lighten up on the Firefly references. It seems they can't go two episodes without some tip of the hat.
I will say "Shut the Front Door" has now been added to my vernacular
Anyone else watch East Bound and Down? Hilarious.
Men of a certain age looks like it could be enjoyable.
You jinxed me silver. Supernatural (among everything else in my queue) is on very long wait. WTF netflix!?
SofA and Dollhouse are having great seasons.
I enjoyed Dexter but stopped watching at the beginning of series 3
annnnd im officially done with flashforward.
Care to elaborate? Flashforward seems really good so far. It might turn into Lost, but if that happens I'll just disregard everything but the first season, like I did for Lost, Heroes and Jericho.
Its just beyond cheesy.
I don't care about any of the characters, none of them are even remotely likable. I take that back, The drunk FBI's sponsor seems like a cool dude.
Was anyone else NOT shocked that the guy that the drunk fbi guys wife is going to be fking is part of the people that cause the blackout? I wasnt, maybe he he hadnt been wearing the same exact outfit in the video of the baseball stadium and then at the hospital.
OMG that guy is wearing a $3 mask on halloween just like the masks worn by the people in my flashforward i should probably take my gun out of the holster in the middle of a congested area and get into a foot pursuit. You know how ridiculous that is?! ****ing ridiciulous! Shocking that someone else had that mask.
So the sponsor saw his daughter in his flashforward. But then he dug up her grave to see if she was in there. She was, shes dead. So not all flashforwards come true?
So which ones do come true? good thing there will be 3 seasons worth of plotholes and spiderweb storylines to find out!
bunch of characters i don't care about + plot holes + storylines that are ****ing retarded = a show not worth watching.
No. But a friend just showed me all of the first season. Classic :)
Indeed. Looking forward to the next season.
I'm still in on FF but if they continue to show 99% boring character drama and 1% plot, I'm out.
I agree on Flash Forward. If you skip ahead and watch the last 2 minutes, it's awesome. It always leaves you hanging and wanting more at the end...but you have to sit through 58 minutes of pointless drama to get the reward.
How awesome was episode 4(the one about sierra) of dollhouse.
Just a great hour of Tv.
I haven't watched last fridays yet so dont say anything if I'm wront but are you talking about the Australian girls story from two weeks ago?
yes.
Loved that ep. Great casting on her "suitor" (not to mention the rest of the show). I love how unique the shows premise, character arcs and plot lines are.
The fact that they tied it into last season when she went to confront him during the "exercise" to stop the ones that were acting out from acting out. Just an excellent way of going back to a minor detail and creating an episode around it.
I think the best part was the lack of the Ballard character. Taking him out of the equation allowed the story to focus more, instead of being pulled into his little fascination with Echo and bringing the dollhouse down.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the new "V" and "The Prisoner" turn out. Could go either way...
I actually don't remember the "exercise" they mentioned. There were one or two episodes from season 1 I missed.
Echo, victor, sierra, and the one that was Millie Were all sort of malfunctioning, So dr saunders suggested that they imprint them with there actual personalities so that they could finish whatever it is they needed to do.
Victor was a soldier so he was being very protective of sierra, Echo was trying to free the monkeys, So she tried to free all of the Dolls
Sierra went to confront the man that drugged her
Millie went to the grave of her daughter.
Once they all achieved what they were trying to achieve that blacked out, the guards came in and brought them back to the dollhouse. and everything went back to normal for a little bit.
It was a very good episode.
Wow sounds cool. I'll find it on hulu and watch it tomorrow.
I really hate to say it but Heroes was actually Tim Kring worthy tonight.
Seriously... **** Heroes. **** FlashForward. And while I'm at it... **** Petticoat Junction.
TV sucks again.
Have you been watching Stargate Universe, Sanctuary, Wearhouse 13, Fringe, Dollhouse, The Office, Its always sunny in Philly, or House? TV is far better than the reality plauge a short time ago.
The Office, It's Always Sunny, Dexter, & 30 Rock are my weekly shows atm. I honestly don't ever turn on my tv to watch it anymore. I just watch my shows online- everything else is crap or I don't have time right now to play catchup with all the back seasons.
Eastbound & Down might interest you. Seasons already over and it was only 6 eps long. Not sure if it'll fit into your style of comedy but I thought it was worth a watch.
Anyone watching Bored to Death? I was told to watch it but not too sure about it yet. I might give the first ep a go just to see.
What about Mad Men? Not perfect. But, I think it's the best show on the merits of craft alone.
I've been watching Bored to Death. It has some entertaining moments. But, it lacks cohesion of any kind. Kind of like a film students video journal of jokes and scenes they would like to do, loosely jumbled together. I give it a C-.
[Oh yeah. And Curb Your Enthusiasm is on a new season and good as ever, imo.]
robot chicken.
Ok FlashForward has me for one more week.
V wasn't too bad either.
I don't see the difference between last seasons heroes and this seasons. I guess that's why I'm not impressed, I can only be dragged by the carrot so far. It's the same with all those office romance tv shows where everyone is waiting for the big hook up and it never happens like Bones
Heroes is sorta picking back up... imho. But it's just... all over the place.
V... I feel like it's transparent. I like the old version way too much perhaps.
Flashforward... I've given up, just forgot to remove it from the DVR.
I'm actually starting to enjoy SGU.
