I'd rather not debate the it. I thought I'd share the pictures.

I'm not expecting you to debate this but posting a pic like this (to a public board) could be offensive to some ppl here.Quote:

I personally felt uneasy and uncomfortable looking at it and ... i cant really look at it. However, i ll let it go .If i do receive any emails complaining or expressing concerns about it, I'll have to remove it.

agreed. These pics may offend some people -- I gut fish but feel a tad bit uncomfortable seeing the dead elk.
If you had taken a "life" and "death" pics then maybe, just maybe it is all cool but.... just my 2pence. :)
do you eat elk?

Aw no man! Dont wanna see dead elks! :( Especially not when someone is smiling and holding its head like he is soo proud of it... dont need content like that hollywood, you take some nice pics man, but not of large dead animals..
:(
ok lets get it back on track :)
I wish i had some new pics to show but ive been homebound ... what with work deadlines and the weather :/
its been raining non-stop for the past 2 days and its really windy - remnants of the tornado that hit the east coast.
i should start doing indoors still life i think :p
a
nice pics Chelle a dream girl? - good at Flash, PS, cool avater, photography, -- you have it all! :D My fave in your last pic post is the first one (b&w). What/how did you do? Fisheye lens or...? :)
lol. thanks tony :)
actually, i used my little tiny sipix blink cam for that first shot.
it tends to photograph things with that fishbowl effect built in... pretty cool side effect of a $40 digicam though :)
Haha! See tony, Im definately gettin one now :D
(Been talkin about it on MSN)
Chelle -- I guess my "flirtation skills" were not up to scratch. :P
RE Blink.. Amazing, mx_kid and I talked about SiPix Blink through MSN last night!! It is a great digicam is it? I was going to get it over Fuji A101 but it was not available in UK at that time. I may buy one for my dad's Xmas gift...
My pics will be up sometime this weekend.
nad aka tony
Have a new addition to my yard..his name is Bo-Bo!!! :)
He has a lot of personality..LOL
http://mute.rigent.com/visuals/petrol_station_small.jpg
not sure why it looks like there are scan lines on it, maybe because I took it with a video camera?? odd, I like it though...
Beautiful Av :)
Man, do you ever go out during the day? :p
Whereabouts was that taken?
Nice aversion. I remember you posted an image like that before. Really sweet.
Chelle your pics are way cool too.
Aversion... "GREAT" pic.... Was it in color or what?????
Chelle.... And your pics are wonderful also !!!!
This is a great place to check in on and see thru others eyes.. :)
Hey everyone!
I check out this thread every so often cause the images are just brilliant! It is probably the most individually most creative and original part of the whole site.
Made me wanna get back into taking photos, but film and processing is way to expensive, so have gone digital finally as we found some cash in our budget..............so expect some pics soon.
Oh....in case your interested i ended up getting the Nikon Coolpix 4300 after months of trying to decide.
Aversion,
yeh the lines would be because of it coming from a video camera. I think its called interlacing, in photoshop there is a de-interlace filter under video i think.
Aria,
Did you end up getting the Picnic at Hanging Rock follow up book ???
Anyway, now i just gotta find time to take some pics.
Keep up the good work peoples
Chook
thanks, the petrol station is an the A1 in cambs and yes, it was taken in colour, all I did to alter it was add a strip of black at the top to reduce the image ratio and create more of a lonely feeling, it's actually made up of two photographs that were stitched using a canon utility so it was in 'widescreen' format :)
The other pic I posted like that was from when I lived in canada, it was of a parking hut, I like this one better though, scan lines and all :D
I thought thats was the UK :) You back for good now?
As promised, here are a few of pics (no touching up or anything except for resizing):

I will be uploading a lot more pics as soon as I have time to organise them. Feel free to post comments, suggestions and requests for higher resolution pics.
sigh, took almost 15mins to upload these on my poor modem!
Tony,
Those are wonderful... love the set up you have to view the pic's. Thanks...:)
Thanks. :) Photoshop takes care of the photo setup for you through Web Gallery batch which generates thumbsized images, normal sized images plus scripts and pages. All at 3 or 4 clicks on your mouse. :) A time-saving feature.Quote:

I have just gotten it. And cannot figure it out. I have had Paint Shop Pro for years and actually took a class on it to try to figure out how to use a lot of it I wasn't. And now am losing that because I have been away from it. YUCK!! :)
Want to learn the Photo Shop tho..heard it was much more advanced..
Keep up the good work on those pic's!! :D
that one with the sunset rocks, tony.

Hi all...have a pic here and would love to know why the image in the bell came out upside down. A friend here at work is really into taking pic's and expermenting with them. He does a wonderful job at it. Going much further than me...:)
I am trying to attach a pic..see how this works...
also here is link to some of his pic's...
Ohh Tony those are nice!
I went to an inner city thing with my church this weekend. We helped out with the COMPA food drive in Denver. We had to help give out 16,000 bags of food. It was really crazy and I didn't really have the time to take good pictures. I wanted to take some 'ghetto' pics of downtown Denver, but I really didn't get a chance too. I'm really new at taking city pictures. I don't think these turned out as well as planned.

hollywood: thanks man. :)
I love your first pic -- "blurry" effect. The pic shows that the background is still while the people are moving around. Very well-taken pic.
Close 2nd is the 3rd one -- if this was taken in colour, it would probably not get my attention but because it is black & white... much more striking.
Cool pics -- look forward to seeing more of yours soon. :mrpimp:
wow- finally back on track- wait a week and the best scans are up- went to Java & Bali in octobre .. about 800 pics (analog-sooo lotsa scan :)- )
