EVP, man...i was totally taken by surprise with this win. when i saw your image, i thought i was done for. I likened my volley to what pea had done in round one, which didn't go over very well, so i was a bit skeptical on what i had come up with. Anyone catch Darth Vader in mine?

As far as the other images go, i've said it before...all amazing, so i'm not going to rehash what others have already said.

I'm pretty surprised your image only got 3 votes, it was a nice image which I nearly voted for. I can't speak for anyone else, but it was easily the toughest pair for me to decide on, so I figured the results would be half and half. Dunno what happened, but rest assured it's a good image. Seems like you just had bad luck.

i think it kinda just snowballed over on fearlesses side:(

oh well im just happy i did a couple of decent images over my last two mm's which were argueably horrible pictures done by me.

I gotta tell ya, after reading some of the comments about Fearless' image, I think some of you need to have your heads examined. His image is amazing, and all I hear is waa-waa about the stock or lack of creativity.

I hate to bring stuff like this up, cause it always escalates, but you're talking about one of the best images so far, and (some of you) didn't even say anything good about it, you just came out swingin'. If anyone should be pointing out shortcomings in images, it should be the guy who won...but you don't see him out here saying how he wishes his opponent had offered more of a challenge.

I guess I'm a jerk, but this needed to be said.

O, I agree. I mentioned a few posts back that the 'Rainbow Train' and the 'dream one' (to which I was referring to my current background aka Fearless' image) were phenomenal. Really nice work on all of these.

To be perfectly honest, I though Rainbow was Ctranter, and Fearless' image was yours, O. I thought that yours was Fearless'. ;)

I've been quiet due to continued overreaction to whatever I say; however this summation is pretty spot on.

What I do like about the "goth wonder-twins" is that they both have a polish and ability to span styles.

I could probably point out a few parts here and there on each image out of this round in the March Madness that need a bit of punching up here and there; but that'll be nitpicking at best.

But as it stands, the drama is too heavy at times. So I just remain silent.

The images... are all quite damn impressive. I'm sorta kicking my own ass for not having any real time to try to see if I could hang with you guys this year.

Instead of offering half-ass critiques, take note of the critiques in this thread that are more insightful and constructive than what you might have already typed... so far I've been quite silent.

Guess the popcorn and the show is just that damn good.

Fearless, call me crazy... I sorta guessed that image was yours. Flashlight... seriously amazing image. Silver... think of it this way. You kept saying you're rated too high... you made it this far, and I can easily say that you're more improved than the "Ah've stop hurricanes with mah teefs" type of image manips lampooning Fkid.

Zac... calm down. Mistakes happen. Lefteye... I said it last year you were the most improved. You're continuing to improve. EVP... insanely good image dude... I can't take a damn thing away from it.

i dont think anyone said it was a bad picture, i just think the two of you have set a bar for yourselves with your solo battles so high at least in my view i was just a little let down at the stones just sorta chilling there which was the only part of the image i didnt like, the girl was very well done, the moon and blending and then the work on the clouds was great the typeface as usual was great as well. there was little doubt in my mind he was gonna win as you and he are both head and shoulders above what i can do. sorry if i came across whiney, i was just kinda sad i only got 3 votes:(

O. K. in an effort to limit the delay time as much as possible O and NJP3 requested that I post the stock images and assign them. So, stocks are up, I will be sending out the assignments shortly, after I upload the polls for the Tie Breaker.

I would suggest taking all the time that you can on you images for Round 3, and O and NJP3 both of you will be PM'ed the assigned stock for your as yet undecided bracket and I would also suggest that both of you assume that you will be moving on...

hey guys, i just wanted to tell you that I am sorry about last round. I know, excuses excuses, I have been so slammed at work i have not had a chance for anything else. I see there is a tie breaker but I will have to catch up with everything later.

But I am really sorry that I bailed and I promise to make up for in in RC.

I just got back from 15hrs of travel and this was a damn good surprise to come back to.

Way to go everyone! Round 2 was nuts. Im bummed i didnt get to vote in it and i definaly wish there was desktop sized versions of several of those. I dont think i could even pick a favorite. this was one of the best rounds eva'

also, flashlight, way to kick my a$$ solidly! Thats just an awesome image

Well guys, it looks like my part in this thing is over. I'm disappointed, to be sure, but NJP3 really deserves some serious kudos for really stepping up his game these last two rounds. Your R2 image especially just blew me away! I totally underestimated you, man...Keep up the great work in the coming rounds!

BTW, I'm still on photoshop mode, probably for the next week or more, so if anyone is looking for a battle, send me a PM, I've got an image all ready to serve.

Since voting will be over now, I think it's OK to talk about the tie breaker images, so:

I really liked your image. The blending of the old and new cities was done very well but the Geisha didn't fit on top of it. The background aside, the image felt a bit too open. I didn't know what to make of those two objects protruding out from her (I think it was supposed to be a costume umbrella and her leg (sky scraper) kicked back, right?). It was just kind of odd.

While NJP3's image was very clean, I think the use of stock wasn't that great. I voted for it because it made a bit more sense theme-wise, but I wish more had been done with it.

If I had the challange, I would have put her onto an oriental rug with a simulated stiching pattern. I think that would have been cool.

The images protruding from her were not part of her costume, the idea was to create a collage of items from different eras in Chinese and Japanese history. Hence the idea of tradition vs. progress. That is the theme.

I thought ondraedan's theme was awesome, and probably better executed than I could have even dreamed up. I can't accept your current challenge O, but if you ever want to pwn me in a 1 on 1 battle sometime and get your revenge I'd love to try and keep up.

Genesis - your quite right, it was far from the most original stock usage, sry for that.

Well i did have an image, and PM'd you Dri. regarding my situation, but i guess you didnt get it :-/ Anyways, my image came out like crap, and i didnt bother submitting it.

I used a batch action for all the images in PS and forgot to rotate them first. Was too lazy to fix it. If it offends anyone, let me know :mrt:
