hey thanks for the comments I thought they were pretty lame pics myself made them in 3Dcanvas but lost it due to an evil harddrive, can still get the program, i was making a violin in the program but then never finished it.

I've been so busy with my new design business which is doing very well indeed and plus i've just become a father :D our son (Jacob) was born on the 19th of May...and i'm loving every minute of it.
Anyway I still see there are some quality work still being uploaded, Mel I still admire your work and always still feel that i'm not worthy to be posting after you have posted..he he

Just because it's an animation forum doesn't mean the pic exchange needs to be full of cartoons - be a proud papa and post some pics of the little one (or take the opportunity to make a caricature). :D

Once things have quiet down with the business and i can have a break I will be updating my toony island site, been working on some new characters but the main aim is to get the 'Space Cadets' and 'The little Red Ninja' strips up (I think there are some pics of them around here)

I've been putting up all my Springton Street stuff up under Whack.05 on my new site, so nothing new to post here from me. :)
I actually got the idea from a poster EBOY made. He made just a bunch of circles and made this effect with the colors that was simply awesome.. So what I did was something similar to that but I got help from a friend and I looked at a bunch of pix of explosions.

Okay, I'm kinda new here. Well not really... I've been visiting this forum for a little over a month and just now decided to join. I work in film production (Movies, TV, Commercial, Music Videos, ect..) and was asked to do an animated intro for a music video I was doing art direction on. I hadn't used my drawing skills professionally since I was in high school. This little project has lead me to me getting back into illustration and subsequently animation.
MelMan you are a F**King genuis. I have gone back through past threads and I really admire your work here and on your web site. I will be posting some of my work here just to see how it stands up to yours.
Bacon Man I love that Cartoon Fox. Your animations are funny as hell. I love the way life just runs him over and he keeps comming back for more.

Thanks Bacon Man. I am doing these animation in Adobe After Effects for release on DVD. I'm just learning how to use Flash, so far it looks like a simpler version of After Effects. Anyway, I gonna start working on a 5 min. short for a preview that will be released on a DVD that will come packaged with my friend album. BTW, here is the album cover I did for him.

Oh yea about the japanese... you were close bacon man. It acually says: Kurisu Gonsarusu (Ku ri su Go n sa ru su). Which is the closes tranlation to my name: Chris Gonzalez. BTW Bacon Man, it was written right to left.

anyway, heres my characters for a new flash animated series. well, when i say new, i meen new episodes. its still cartoonfox, but now its cartoonfox and friends! :D
anyway, its in the story development at the moment, but the first one should be ready in a month or so!

Bacon man, I'm sure. you see the sa and za symbol are the same except that the za symbol has two little accent marks to the top right of it.

Meta_Net, cool anime, except it looks like only the head's in the pic? the pic's large enough to have a whole body, but it only loaded to about the neck. maybe I'll try again later. still, like the anime. the forehead's kinda bare though, maybe you could put a jewel or a head crest thingamabober on there, that would be sweet. :D
