Not necessarily. If your boss leaves you in charge while he / she is at a meeting, can you (in most cases) start firing / hiring people and making executive decisions or is your position really just to keep things running smoothly?

Why must I still "export in the first frame" if I don't want to instantiate an object before it's needed. Can't they trust that if you have a preloader and you wait until loaded bytes equals total bytes, the call you're making will be valid?
I never understood why Flash was never more intuitive in handling filesizes... autodetect and auto-preload as needed using implicit preloaders.
