oh, my, god.

every single image is above average, and some are WAY above. from gerbs to dustar (gerbick, clicky2, evpohovich, fuitloops, dustar) is just mind blowing... the transitions are seemless but they are blended so well... its just... just... wow.

I would just like to give theWaste another personal thanks for doing this, the results were amazing.

So when we startin' the next one? Huh? Huh? Huh? :D

And what, if anything, will we do different? Vertically, as opposed to horizontally?

amazing. ive been following this for a while and im shocked at how it came out. i love the nordberg >> wouter >> creativeinsomnia sequence but everything is perfect.

WOW.

The first time I scrolled through it I got that drop-in-your-stomach feeling that you get when you see amazing art.
There are so many great bits in that image, every volley has something great. I especially like nordbergs zip, it gives a great focal point and has a big impact. I also love the way the thick line from thewaste's image continues through thewaste/1stbite/squidlips .. it really brings those three images together.

Overall... ahhh!! I'm glad I was a part of this :)

man, i totally agree. that first 1800 pixels definitely seems like it was created by one person. that's what's so amazing about this project - all the themes that were worked on, carried through, and developed basically independently of one another, yet somehow they all seem connected...

i think there is some weird pychology going on behind all this...

Hey Gerbs, How about making the arrow graphic (at least the space) 100 px wide with a small marker so that we can see visually the last 100 px that was shown to the next volleyer <??>.

Just a thought.......

I am still looking at this thing.....I see something new each time I look at it.....really unbelivable.

I thought that the vertical lines that TheWaste - the originator of the html files - did a good job with the vertical black lines that show where the image stops, and the next starts.

But that's a decent question/request.

But I'll wait on making any great edits to it before TheWaste says otherwise. I'm letting this one stay his baby... he's done an awesome job from concept to execution as far as I'm concerned.

If I had read all the gushing about it and never looked, I would have thought you guys are just really nice to each other. But wow, I looked, that is amazing. I completely missed this whole thread(I read the first post, and misunderstood the idea as something that sounded stupid, and haven't checked back till now), but I am uberly impressed. That's a real work of art.

And an ingenius idea! I can totally see this becoming popular, and you will more or less be able to say "I made that up" :D

The whole thing is just incredible... I'm almost glad I missed out, because you all carried it perfectly. Makes me wonder if another one could ever go down as well as this did... like a new band's killer freshman release :)

If you really want the .psd I can send it through gmail. I just did some [unused] layer deleting and labelled the used ones, so it's all nice and clean. Also cut the file size in half. :p

I love the textures on fruity's - but all of them are great.

You guys are good to go if you wanna make another rollcanvas... its not really my territory, just my idea. I wont be offended if someone wants to start a new one. Just some humble (and somewhat temporary) respect until people forget I made it... :)

Also gerbs, feel free to change the HTML. its fairly simple (just tables... its also laid out so you can pretty easily make changes... i made it up as i went along so i made sure to have it easy to crack open... ;) )

As for the result, I wanna say again that im really really happy with the outcome... I couldnt have pictured a better finished product. As for my volley comments, I should also add that my volley is very very simple for several reasons:

1) I was expecting more people to go vector-style (for transitions sake) so I kept everything fairly simple so the next person had a pretty broad selection of styles without making mine look so much out of place.
2) And I suck at vector style...
3) I didnt think this thing would get popular. I thought the moment after I made the thread that I would get flamed all over the place for making such a complex battle.

If i make it into the next rollcanvas (name is subject to change by the way... im sure someone can think of a better name for this), then you guys should expect something more adventurous from me.

A lot of people seem anxious for another rollcanvas, so if someone doesnt start one in about a half a week or so, than I will.

I hope the next one gets 20+ people. And lets make it taller :)

Lastly...

GERBICK IS HOSTING. IF YOU ASK HIM NICELY IM SURE HE WILL MAKE ANY REQUIRED CHANGES TO YOUR BIOS...
