MW2 update
around a 100 games the matchmaking looks like it started to kick in. Im doing a little better, Slowly inching my way to .500 k/d(it was as little as .3) my best kill streak was 11.
My sister has the ps3 version and i was watching my 4yr old nephew playing online with other grown people. He was kicking a little bit of ass and i thought it was pretty hilarious thats he probably better at it then i am. He beat the single player campaign and couldn't stop talking about the final cut scene/kill.
Your 4 year old nephew was allowed to play COD?
yeah. its 2009 he sees enough killing on the news. as long as parents teach a kid about right and wrong i dont see an issue with it. in short he wont be growing up to be a school shooter, he realizes its just a game, and that in real life shooting someone is bad.
COD still seems a bit violent for a 4 year old. Good for him for playing it well though but bad news for IW if a 4 year old can beat it- literally.
its no more violent then mario.
Just different forms of murder.
right.
just cause 2 is quickly becoming a "must buy" for me, the game just looks ridiculously fun.
never eve heard of it. looks pretty fun though.
Anyone see the new Red Dead Redemption trailers? Easily a must buy for me.
had a holy F moment in forza 3 last night, Was racing on an oval track in a car i just purchased and upgraded, was doing about 183 and i got clipped in the back spun twice hit the wall slid back down into the track and another car hit me going so fast it flipped over my car.
The damage modeling was incredible, my car was a crumpled mess.
Have you played Grid silver? If so which do you like better? Grid or Forza?
i have not played grid. Only forza 3 so far on the 360. So far its been great, easy to set you driving assists so if you are not very good the game can help you out a bit, but it you are good, you can turn everything off and it results in higher prize winnings at the end of races.
The ability to paint whatever you want onto your car is awesome, i spend almost as much time changing the paint job on my car as i do actually racing. The only thing thats a bummer is there is only around 1000 people at a given time racing multiplayer and its spread out over like 20 types of races so its hard to get into a group.
I loved Forza 1 on the same level as GT but sometimes you want a simpler racing experience. Midnight Club 2 did a great job at it but Grid made it really fun. You spend very little time in a surprisingly huge menu. The races had the joy of a good car sim without the sometimes tortuous AI plus you could jump around to different racing genre's without having to enter entire circuits. Definitely get the demo.
ill look into it.
I finally got my pc back up and running. What games should I be looking into? Has anyone played Borderlands?
Muramasa (Wii) = Legend of Kage (NES) + killer graphics + killer combos
Dragon Age Origins is absolutely awesome. Haven't played an RPG since Final Fantasy X. They usually bore the crap out of me, but i can't put this one down.
I would so buy that if I thought I'd actually have 100 hours to dedicate to it.
Fallout 3 has been my game of this year. Played it through a couple of times and recently got the game of the year addition which is AWESOME!
Bioshok 2 looks like it's going to be seriously bad-arse as well!
That would be 7% of the main story. You could earn a BSA in the time it would take to %100 the game.
So are you a 'after the wife goes to bed' gamer or 'I'll be in my office' type?
I didn't see him come online till around 11pm so im going with the former.
Right now I'm relegated to mornings on weekends. :(
MW2 is OFFICIALLY unplayable

Never would have been an issue if i could choose which server i was playing on, but as of right now i spent 2 hours last night on and off trying to get into a decent game but i got the MW2 aids.
steams having a huge sale right now for anyone that wants games like GTA4 and mirrors edge for under $10
wish i could get those kinds of deals on console games.
Really enjoying Assassins Creed 2. So far it fixes the redundancy of the first one by bringing a lot of what I loved from the Prince of Persia series including a really cool story that's a mix of Davinci Code and Dollhouse.
Seriously thinking of getting a Gamefly account after I beat AC2.
I was just watching GameSpot's 2009 game awards and the game of the year was "Demon's Souls" for PS3.
I've never even heard of it but it looks pretty sick. It's an action RPG with awesome graphics and some pretty neat online elements. Anybody play it yet?
Yep. Demon's Souls is a gamer's game. Parts of it are repetitious, some are hideously mother****ing hard - I mean, like "Atari" and "You have to be in the ****ing zone" type of hard - but it's enjoyable. I've placed it to the side until I get time where I'm no longer looking for clients and/or taking online classes... but yeah. Demon's Soul is a real gamer's game.
Just starts off slow then GADOOSH! They're surprise ****ing ya'*
*Random Andrew Dice Clay reference of the month completed
I think I'll be putting my blu-ray player on ebay and spending the difference on a PS3 JUST for god of war. I just hope the ps3 is as good at streaming netflix, amazon, npr, digital cameras etc.
This should be the next FK deathmatch game.

I got the demo for alien Vs Predator last night, what a frustrating experience that can be!
Playing as the aliens is awesome, you can walk on walls and ceilings so you can try and sneak up on someone to eat their face but its easy to get disoriented because your flipping around and upside down and sideways so much so fast its hard to keep track when your upside down or not
Playing as the predators is sweet too, especially once you get either the throwing blade or the laser cannon, going invisible turning on your heat vision and just sneaking around looking for marines to impale with your giant clawblades good times
Playing as a marine is the more scary and upsetting thing i have ever done in my entire life. sure you have an assault rifle but you also have a little gizmo that goes tick tick tick tick, and when something that isnt you starts getting near you its starts going bing bing bing faster and louder and faster and i start freaking the **** out where is he!? is it an alien? BING BNG BING. is it a predator ?!?!?! BING BING BING BING BING then i just randomly start shooting and hitting nothing and so now im runnning BING BING BING BING BING BING BING COME the **** on im screaming in my headset where are you leave me alone BING BING BING BING STab noise i look down and depending on what killed me this time there will either be an alien tail through my torso or a predators blade claws and im swearing up a storm. then 10 seconds later i spawn again look for a different gun rinse and repeat eventually killing an alien while its busy killing a predator before i hear bing bing bing again and start panicing
Plants Vs. Zombies for ipod touch is awesome.
I have a $15 itunes gift card minus the $2.99 I just spent. Any other games(or even apps) worth buying?
those of you with a 360, perfect dark(nintendo 64 era) is going to be hitting XBL after an HD upgrade march 17 for 800ms points
this is maybe number 1 or 2 on my list of games ill buy this year right behind or ahead of starcraft2
seriously $10 for perfect dark with the added ability to play of xbl? insane.
the thing i like most about the new battle.net so far is registering your games means if you lose the cd's or get a new computer you can download the game right from battle.net
God i wish they had this a decade ago, i know i've bought diablo 2 and starcraft at LEAST twice each.
Plants Vs. Zombies is definitely worth the couple bucks it cost.
