site is still really really nice. def not my style, but still cool. i agree it doesn't feel like much of a huge step in a different or new direction. almost more like a bunch of their more recent client sites all combined together. but yeah, not so much loving the colours.

now that demo real was pretty awesome!!! i was MUCH more impressed buy that,esp considering they don't actually specialize in 3d animation or anything.

i think i was looking for something more different, maybe that's why im disappointed. but from objective point of view without considering the history or anything of the company, it is a pretty polished site. i'll appreciate it for that.

like I said, short of the MCP pulling us all through INTO the website it would get a lot of criticism.

i remember though V3 when it came out and how I was more into V2 because I thought it was more techy. We've become so used to V3's style of:

HEADER
NAVIGATION
CONTENT WINDOW
SUB ELEMENTS

It's used on 1000000 sites, so this design is different but I can already see how subtle elements are nothing but genius. It's a great site. Someone do better.

2 Advance anyway was never the best.
whos we or even xeofreestyle.com (made by just two guys) is better.

I just viewed the water effect on a faster pc. It is really nice!

none of the 2a threads have been deleted! I'm just merging anything to do with this site into the original thread started by 88tons.

2Advanced has produced a wealth of better
client work then those two studios by far.

:p

XeoFreestyle is beautiful, but the navigation is way too confusing for the average surfer.

And Whos We ... Where's They is more like it. Their site is always down. And outside of the company site, most of their other projects aren't that great.

can we not turn this into a car thread, arguing about which is better merc or BMW is subjective, they're both some of the best engineered cars/engines/etc in the world.

The revelutionary part is the backend scripting...but still shouldnt hype it.

I liked it, i thought it wasnt a huge step up from v3 like said previous.
-I thought the colors came out very well together, i thought the teal actually liven up the place, brought the site out more. cause if it was just shades of red, it would of be like v3 where it was kinda dull.
-The transistions i thought could of been alot better, maybe some use of after effects or combustion, some hot 3d.
-I thought it was alil too cluttered tho. alot going on, but you could find your way around with not much of a problem. hopefully their potential clients can work with it too.
-The demo reel was just great, i thought it set the tone for the whole prophecy theme, nice effect as well!

overall i thought v4 coulda been alot more visually pleasing with more advanced effects and my real wait is for the release of FI-REVOLUTION!, now i know thats gonna blow me away! :D

and i would like to hear Av's thoughts about the site too.. LOL ;)

I think you're close. They seem to be trying really hard to be cutting edge and futuristic. They get lots of great designers that maybe have no chemistry when together. So what happens is they lost their focus and vision and produce a bad sci-fi . . . thing rather than a "future of design" experience.

Yes, little made sense. (Though kinda cool what is going on in the demo? Are they looking to direct the next Star Wars film?)

Their last site was much better. At least for its time of release.

The new site looks great! I think I just have to get used to de redish site in stead of the blue one.... And now we all have to buy a new (red) t-shirt (Good marketing by 2Advanced:)).

The 3D-animation is really awesome. Especially the way it is compostited. WOW!

There are certainly some other sites (not many) which are also really great. But what I like about 2A is that they don't only put effort in their own site but also in all websites they build for other companies. Each website 2A build is of the same (Ultra high) standard. This cannot be said for any other company in the market.

I think this is the main reason everybody likes and respects 2A in general. Also because they also can build great Flash/HTML/database website and not only (just)flash-sites.

Don't complain unless you can do better! (well, there's a challenge)
