I've still yet to pay for any DLC aside from rockband.
Chiming in... God of War III... one bad mother****er.
The only bad mark I can give GoW3 is length.
All of the God of Wars have been short... that part I do agree with... sucks.
iv been wasting a **** ton of time in a minecraft making 8bit sprites of video game characters.
I beat Dragon Age and felt the same way. It was a great game, but it's the type of game that makes you feel both good and relieved after you're done with it.
Also, DLC really doesnt appeal to me either. I beat Fable 2, and didnt care for the DLC even though I loved the game. I think once you beat a game, there's not much more reason to play through a small side quest anymore. You've already seen the whole story.
The only two exceptions for me were Oblivion and Fallout 3, only because i downloaded the DLC while playing through the main story, so I could do those side quests before I actually beat the game.
Yeah its weird, I LOVED Assassins Creed 2 and got excited when I saw there was two new quests yet just can't bring myself to download them. The selection of good games has pretty much negated the desire of DLC as fast as it became popular.
I'm level 9 on Blur and have yet to win a race. Both times I was in the lead my controller lost its signal. :(
No but my best move yet was boosting into my own forward thrown mine over a cliff.
dont have an xbox 360? have $100?

Everyone is confirming it yet when I go to type in the code it says no eligible.
I have a feeling they didn't mean to have the 360 as part of it and "fixed" it.
its for everything in there mothersday sale

StarCraft 2 - July 27th.
Someone pitched the perfect game.

just played the lost planet 2 co-op demo.. i had not played the first game so i didnt really know what to expect. first time i had a slow awe inspired what the **** over voice chat in a long time
i got into the starcraft2 beta yesterday, played a few games.. seems like every game someone was cannon rushing me... it got to the point where i was so paranoid i started attacking my own teammates plyon at the front of our base because i thought it was the start of a cannon rush.
Finally pulled the trigger on a game-fly account. Considering how fast I've played through the last two games I purchased and my distaste for achievements it just makes sense. Playing through Uncharted 2 atm. Starts out feeling like a bad tomb raider (bad camera, rubbery character etc.) but the cinematics, writing, acting, sets and graphics more than make up for it. Feels great to not feel like I have to get my moneys worth for once.

red dead redemption comes out tomorrow.. im going to find it reallllly hard not to buy it.
Yep red dead is in my queue but it says low availability. Did any of you beat the first one?
i never played the first, but i have not seen a review under 9.5 for this one, and the lobby system for multiplayer which is shown in the video above looks like a **** ton of fun.
the last full price game i bought was forza 3 which i sank tens of hours into, i also got gt4 used for around $10 which ruined my life for a couple of weeks.
Going to try and find Red Dead tomorrow. I have to be at the airport at 6am anyway. So, I think I have good odds.
Also might pick up Alan Wake. Looks different anyway.
Silver, Lost Planet 2 looks great in videos. IGN gave it bad reviews for controls and a bunch of other things. Did that seem like an issue to you?
well its a third person shooter so controls wise i never expect much ****s so hard to see and maneuver.
i played the co-op only so i didnt really pay attention to it to much. the grappling hook was kinda weird, but i only played maybe a half hour so i couldn't really judge.
Was the co-op a 360 demo?
So many good games coming out these days. I don't have time to go through them all.. Seems like they've taken a cue from complaints that games were getting too formula. Maybe the Atari 2600 generation is finally reaching the senior positions at these companies. ;)
It's funny. I actually hope some of the games I rent from gamefly are bad so I can try more of them. Atm I only have the single disc plan and the first game I rent ends up being worth beating. Looks like it might be a while before I get red dead.
@silver Red dead revolver was a perfect experience. Proof that you don't need hours of cheap replay value to make you feel like you got your moneys worth. Doesn't take long to go through but you walk away with that " I just saw my new favorite movie" feeling.
crap, quoted instead of edited
im only a couple of hours into rdr and i can already tell its massive
The work they did with the environment is worth the price alone. Probably the best I've seen.
Maybe I'm missing where the decisions can be made. But, it feels too linear. I seem to be forced into a cheesy story-line that I'm already skipping cut-scenes for. Isn't there a way to choose a bandit path? Where is this Thieves Landing place?
Also, seems weird that your horse magically appears from anywhere if you whistle but realism was retained by forcing you to manually loot everybody. A bit grindish.
well everytime you complete a mission you gain honor, but every time you doing something bad you lose it. shoot your horse you lose 50 honor, shoot someone peaceful? -50 honor. Watch a guy get hung and dont do anything? -50 honor. see a whore about to get stabbed... and dont stop her from getting stabbed? -honor. shoot the ****ing sheriff? -honor.
so far all i have done is gone from bonnie to the marshall and back a few times, and went and found some dude that was missing. but then going to the map and zooming out there is so much land its kind of impressive.
I'm still not sure what i want this guy to be so i'm just doing the missions.
Team Fortress 2 with a portal gun? Yes please.
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/17/te...team-portress/
Speaking of Portal, it's free through Steam until the 24th.
That's what I'm saying.
I know the honor thing is there. But, unless I'm missing some key launch-off story point, if you were to just go around shooting people to be a bandit, you would miss out on the built-in story-line (which includes a lot of unique game-play scenarios that they've built).
I think I'm just hooked on the way they handled this in Mass Effect 2. Each conversation/cut-scene had game-play decisions that were equally valid toward the over-all missions/story.
im about 13 hours in and nearing 50%
I'm at about the same place.
Still annoyed by the character they make you become. What kind of a cowboy boasts as he shoots people but becomes squeamish whenever he has to skin an animal that he hunts down? Also, major over-kill on the 3 paragraph horse-riding conversations for every mission. It's the chatty cowboy whose afraid of blood. He probably has a twitter account. :D
That said, I'd still recommend the game. :)
yeah i dont know how far you are into mexico but there is one mission in particular at the end where you are forced to do something, that i would have rather not done. I do wish there was more of a branching storyline where i could take a different route to the final outcome.
Also i feel like i did these last few missions out of order for some reason.
still the visuals are stunning and the gun play is really fun.
