Hair of the Dog, wasn't that album made in the 70's? It was way ahead of it'ss time if it was (my opinion).Quote:

..yeah that was their big breakthrough album. They never got too much attention afterwards, but I though they had a couple of other respectable albums: "Close Enough For Rock and Roll" and another in the 80's that I can't remember the name of at the moment... also pre Hair "Loud N' Proud" was pretty good....Quote:

Heh... i'm probably included in the "youngies" as well being i'm not 18 yet. :)
I was into the whole 70's music thing for awhile. Then i feel into the groove in the 80's. NIN, Petshop Boys, Vanilla Ice (well.....rice rice baby IS a good song! :D).
The music now is all rap and brittney spears. yuck.
I stick to classical and techno now.
So you like Bach?Quote:

Yeah i like bach. I was raised and trained in classical music for 11 years. I love playing the pachabel cannon in D. I still remember learning Fur Elise.
Vanilla Ice was a break through. A bad one but still a break through. :D
MC HAMMER... 2 la git.. 2 la git to quit! Can't touch this! that guy had style. Now he's a preacher????
I forgot who did this song: "you turn me round right baby right round" or something like that. He looked like a girl.
I had to teach myself that song (don't remember now!) cause we couldn't afford a teacher :(Quote:

I was lucky. My teacher was very nice. She only charged $30 a month. I had an hour lesson every week. You'll find teachers that charge $30 per hour now. sheesh! no wonder music is going downwards.
I'm trying to teach myself how to play the keyboard, just mastered row, row, row your boat, fur elise tomorrow, there is still one note that has me stumped... not sure what it is supposed to do :)
It was a band called "Dead or Alive". Can't remember the lead singer's name - the one that looked like a girl. Long, black hair. It wasn't Marilyn, that was ANOTHER girl-like man who had a couple of minor hits, and of course there was Boy George. There was obviously this big cross-dressing thing happening in London during the early 80s.Quote:

Pete Waterman? Wasterman? something like that - at that time white white make up - now looks like ... well - dang - looks like he does his make up better than I do! I remember going to clubs dancing to that song - that and Cameo - Word Up (???)Quote:

Ugh! Speaking of the 80's.. did anyone see that really lame film.. urr.. "Last Days of Disco". A friend (male, who has since "come out") dragged me and friend along.. and it was..
I mean.. lame
Hmm! I can play pacabel's cannon on the recorder.. and the piano. Or at least a version of it. That sounds wrong.
I shant force my kind of music on everyone, cause I end up saying "You must get this! and this! AND THIS!" Lots. My friends are sick of it. :)

So you used to be a little go-go girl in the 80's, huh? Did you wear one of those vinyl suits with the knee high black boots and a beehive hairdo?:D
