I just have a hard time figuring out why anyone would go to the trouble of turbo-assisted cooling, water/coolant circulation, granite (!) cases (I'd love to see how much that weighs), and Knight Rider scrolling lights on the front simply for creating half-decent web sites or resumes. :D

Same thing can be said about people that race cars. I've modded my 2k1 Jetta's turbos, I'm running non-stock rims/tires... among other things... why? Not always for games. Do you own a 1.4ghz Athlon? There are CPU fans that are specially rated just for it. The thing gives off enough heat to warm a small apartment. I went to water cooling mainly because the CPU was constantly running around 150 degrees Fahrenheit. That's not safe for any CPU. Others have their own reasons. I simply protected my investment.Quote:

what's really funny is that some genre's, I have problem playing with a controller - first person shooters - Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, et all - for instance. Hard to play with a controller.
for instance, I'm decent with Max Payne on the computer w/ mouse and keyboard. but on the X-box... man, forget it. I'm not as good :(

you honestly could have looked over this thread, and ignored it. instead, you stated something that made you stand out from the rest of the group. I normally ignore threads that don't involve me or any of my beliefs/hobbies.
