On that note, if I might play devils' advocate, a post titled like this one based ont he actions of one or two members is like saying "I'm embarassed to be human" because people like Osama Bin Laden exist.
Chastise the members, not the community.

Not necessarily. My point is that the actions of a few don't represent all of Flashkit - to say that one is embarassed of Flashkit is a bit melodramatic, ne?
I'm not sure as to exactly what happened, but from past situations I'm sure I can imagine.
It's things like this that sometimes make me happy I've been spending less time on the Internet, following so much that's going on. I bet more than half the people that involve themselves in things like that, community shouting matches and battles "we're a better site" all that nonsense, I bet the couldn't hold their own for 10 seconds in a face to face conversation with someone.
Thanks to the Internet, just about everyone can carry an attitude simply for the sake of it, and can somehow fill a void in their life they have, which boils down to their talking down to people and all that mess. Many of us have been guilty of that some times, but when it's the first impulse, especially in regard to two web communities whose respective focuses are first and foremost promoting learning about Flash, it's just really lame.
Sometimes it would be nice if it were obvious some people really knew what the world was about.

Trust me, as a person whose given alot of time to monitoring this place over the past 1 1/2 years, it really frustrates me at times to see how some of these kids on this site can act, especially in regard to Were Here. In the past I have defended the lounge as a place for banter and general messing about when other mods have wanted to rid fk of it. I am now reconsidering this if this is the kind of behaviour that others will judge us by.
Melodramatic maybe but I'd rather be part of a flash resource site than a flaming kids area.

Saying that some of the were here people who posted here didn't exactly make an effort to be friendly. Humour is only funny if you get the joke.
What a crock, I am a member at w-h as are most people here but I always find the atmosphere somewhat frosty there. My feeling is that the folks at w-h look down on FK members as newbies and "punters" especially the more senior members of w-h.
I know it's a generalisation but that's what's happened here as well.
the people at were-here can appear frosty but thats the way their forum is. They have threads with a much more adult content that is not allowed here. What they see all the time is kids from fk wanting to be a part of were-here but using the same principles as here. you can't just go to wh and start posting crap all over the show, they'll hate you for it. when has anyoine from wh came to do that here. derrikito sits in the lounge all day yet mainly he follows fk rules, he (/she) wouldn't post stuff that they'd post on wh, theres a big difference.
