uninstall 6.0 and get 5.0 or 5.5 and see if that fixes it?
how exactly do i do that? because when i try, it won't let me install IE5.
I've gotta ask. have you searched support.microsoft.com yet?
Yes, i have visited the Microsoft help online...to no avail. I would like to be able to fully uninstall IE6, does anyone know of any programs that can do this?
How about Add/Remove programs?
its not working:( I do the "restore previous configeruation" and i still have IE6 when i restart!

hmm i was happy wioth IE6 until today, now i can't see the file menu at the top and there's no option to bring it back, in fact if i right click on the space at the top i get nothing where normally you get a view items menu...
stoopid thing!
at least all the sites you want to go to still work. If any site has a openjavascript window....it won't open!! This inlcudes estudio.com, and sites like it (that open a new flash window)I really need this fixed:mad:...i hope someone can help.
In your "C:\WINDOWS\Windows Update Setup Files" there should be a file that says "Install Internet explorer 6" or sumthing like that. Just open that and re-install it and use custom options (cuz then u dont get the **** Microsoft usually gives u) If this is no help im me on aim @ RfUiLreZ im on often.
I had this problem or sumthing before. i fixed it like that but u may need to do something else.
WAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIITTTTTT Dont do that
Goto Add/Remove Programs
Click Microsoft internet Explorer 6 and internet tools
When the thing pops up click advanced and click Ok
This SHOULD bring you back to the old version of IE that you used before download IE6.0 If not IM me on AIM @ RfUiLreZ
Test that it is not the sites that have stuffed up.

ook, i have a perfect example of my problem (that's right, it's still not fixed:mad: ). Go to the AOL Instant Messenger site. On the left, there should be a blue menu, with white text (uses Javascript I believe). Well, I don't get that menu, i have an "object expected error". And I can't navigate the site! This is just one of many examples!!:(
Well I went to the AOL site and i didn't see
the error. I have IE6 and are you sure that
this is wot is causing the problem. It may not
even be IE6 whis is the problem?
well, i have tried going to the same sites on other computers and they worked fine. It's my computer, with my IE6 that's causing problems. Sites including estudio.com don't load at all, since it uses JS to load that new window.:(
