you can't turn off the warning box, but you probably won't see it as much since the flash 6 player is much, much faster, especially when dealing with Strings, XML and Arrays.
hope that helps...

lol .. no problem thanks!
Mike,
I was wondering if this is supported in Flash MX.
I've done a few CD demos that have required opening .pdf files and others. In Flash 5, you have to either use a batch file, or a third party application. Has anything changed in regard to this in Flash MX?
Thanks.
i am not sure, but i don't believe anything changed in regards to this.Quote:

Yes, you can use an HTML link tag to trigger a function like so:
http://www.richpaul.com/flashHTML.html
Like Mike said...ASFunction is undocumented...and a little buggy... So, Mike, is there anything different in MX we can do that's not a workaround to use those HTML links?
Thx Kraken! I saw it yesterday at the figleaf archive.Quote:

@Mike: Do you know if it's now possible to print duplicated movieclips out of the player? I ask you this cause I've done a great fractal like tool and I search now for almost a year a way to print it out in bigger resolutions (4000*3000 or something). It's possible with screenshots, but Flash needs a long time to render one screen and when you zoom in and take the shots, it's really unpractible.
Here's the link to the tool, use the presets to see what I mean. --> http://www.mysterydancers.ch/test/flashstylist3_0.zip

Hi Kraken,
Where did you learn about the ASFunction stuff? and if you know, is there somewhere where we can check it out to look for other functions?
v cool stuff in your example file, lots of potential!
