Sorry this is off topic to your post but I've been trying to find the font/dingbat that has the same tilted arror that you use for your footer. Would you happen to know what font/dingbat that is?

OK, its a PC font - Wingdings 3.
The key press is - è
if you dont have the font (its standard) then i can email it you. If you have trouble finding the character then pull up the character map from your system tools.

Thank you... no wonder I couldn't find it. It was one of those obvious solutions, those are the ones I always seem to overlook. Looking all over for a special arrow type dingbat font.

I know what you mean though, i spent that long trying to find it in the first place that i acually got bored and did it by hand, it was only then a couple of days later going through the character map that i found it!

There is a pretty sweet font I yanked from Font Freak for free called 2theleftdingbats, which has several different arrows within its set. One is very similar... "q"... has rounded edges though.

I have been reading through this thread with intrest.
I have seen the date & clock, which was made with flash mx.
But it is one hour behind B.S.T. It is not keeping up with the clock on the monitor!!!!!!
So how are you going to overcome this problem?????

wow, i've got enough worms to go fishing :) i used the Date() object for the clock/date, but I used the functions that are local to the computer running the SWF...meaning the date should be specific to your computer. However, it might not take into account daylight savings time.
The following is taken from the MX help files...if I would have used the Date,getUTCDate() method, then everybody would be complaining that the clock didn't tell them their local time. If you'd like the FLA, I'll post it...but I can't provide any sort of tech support for it once it's out of my hands.

Flash Player 5 handles daylight saving time on the following operating systems as follows:
Mac OS 8 and 9—the behavior is the same as described for Flash Player 6.
Windows—the U.S. rules for daylight saving time are always applied, which leads to incorrect transitions in Europe and other areas that employ daylight saving time but have different transition times than the U.S. Flash correctly detects whether DST is employed in the current locale.
To call the methods of the Date object, you must first create an instance of the Date object using the constructor for the Date object.
The Date object requires Flash Player 5.

what is "like that color"? and the "text wight"..do you mean the color white? then you'd have a white on white swf...i'm confused :)
as far as using it in another movie, it's meant to be loaded into level -1 of another sprite.

you'll have to choose load "into sprite" intead of "into level"
