why does everyone think of 'designers' as only webdesigners and don't look at the other types of designers? There are plenty: industrial, Multimedia, Graphice, furniture, landscape, web and many more.
Oh yeah, and just coz your 18 means jack squat. So what if you're 18 or under...it doesn't mean that you're any good or anything. What determines whether you're good or not varies on a couple of things. One of which I believe is the communication aspect. If you effectively communicate something...then you've succeeded. Whether the general public like it or not is yet another aspect to your success.

I always find it dissapointing that all young trainee designers choose to ignore html in favour of Flash. Sure flash is a cool tool in the right hands, but I always get the impression that it is being favoured by young designers simply because it is extremley easy to get the perfect page layout, without the hassle of tables etc. Obviously this is not true of all young designers but alot I think, although i dont expect you to admit to it. lol. Also, another big problem is impatience, especially amongst the young, Im only 19 myself so i dont want to sound like an old git, but it seems, that whenever i look at alot of the sites in the members sites forum, I get the imression that these sites have been knocked up in only a few hours, without any serious thought about the layout audience etc. Sure there is some great young talent around, but very little.
Prove me wrong please...show me the sites and all take all my words back lol

True Dat!!! lol.Most older people are not that creative because they didn't have computers back when they were growing up, so they don't know how to use them.For example, my parents wouldn't even know how to turn the computer on. Well my mom does since she works at a hospital but she doesn't do anythign hard, its all using there system I think.Just enter things like names, addresses, and thats it.
