Sorry Clif - The only picture I have uploaded is during deer season last year or before ... And I have to ask ~ if you have any qualms about it or feel negatively about it? If you do - say so up front and I won't send ... Goalie Boy should've opened his pie hole sooner ...
I don't.Quote:

- I have a/few name(s):
- hockyfan
- Dan
- hocky
Don't call me Goalie boy.- If you'd let me finish before you overreacted, I was explaining I had no problem and...forget it, not wasting my time.
- Bye.

:D
I hunt pheasant mostly, I also shoot clays. My parents own a hunting preserve, maybe I can dig out a few pics of some past hunts and show them to y'all (that one was for lanny).
Not personally, but one of my besy buds back in Australia is a mad keen bow hunter, he has the largest Rusa Deer in Australia this year. I go out hunting with him sometimes, its great fun. Bow hunting is SO SO SO much more difficult than shooting.I am getting him a new bow next week, a bow-tech pro 38, nice bow.
We go roo hunting from time to time, not much of a challenge, just some fun. Before I get scolded, roos are a pest on most properties in Aussie.
They own a hunting preserve?! <green with envy>Quote:

My boy's a seasoned deer hunter, but he went shootin' clays for the first time (second time?) last weekend - he got 13 out of 50 :) ... and he bagged 8 dove today :D
Send on the pics, Onlinegs! I'd love to see 'em!
:D
i've heard it's really hard! My boy is practicing with his bow but doesn't think he could go hunt with it, yet - he says it's tough!Quote:

Hunting roos! you should catch em and sell em to people in the states! people would kill for some roos.
Erm... I feel stupid... what's a roo?
I thought someone might ask after I hit post :) sorry, a roo=kangaroo.Quote:

And yeah bow hunting is difficult, but definately more fun than shooting, you need way more patience though.
I compare it to general bait fishing and fly fishing, it takes more skill.
Excuse my ignorance but what is a hunting preserve? because it really doesn't seem to me that those two words should be in the same sentence?Quote:

a hunting preserve is like a grouse moor, land set aside to shoot things on.
I presume a "dove" is a wood pigeon rather than thosecute little white things that they release at the olympics ?
hey what the funk happened with hockyfan?
oh anyways. I have shot a rabbit (arrow went right through it from the behind hehe. and also shot a dogh (sp) during michigan bow and arrow regular hunting season.
hm good experience, probably won't do it again and I can't say that I had "fun" but it's certainly some special feeling that you have when you are sitting in a tree stand for 5 days and not seeing anything.
So I liked it. And it filled the freezer quite a bit.
Pictures ?
Sure, you think iCEBERG comes into any thread withOUT pictures? You WRONG. :)
Though after looking at them I think they are a bit nasty looking in terms of cut open and blood so I will be the great role model and not post them. cheers nothing too interesting anyways. Dead animals. :)
