Where do you get the images for this kind of stuff?
Are you going to release an early version of this in KM so people can see how to do this kind of stuff? - that would be cool...

After my woodcutters cut down one tree they stop....
Not a huge issue. Just have to restart them on another group of trees.
You know what would be a neat feature to add is a random map generator in which the maps are generated on load- Like Nethack. That would be neat.
A save feature would also be neat. You could do that with a cookie.
Attaching Cookie sample...
for Hilary..
1) At this time KoolMoves version of Warcraft is huge & buggy.
reasons: no "Movie-Library" and no "GetBounds" instruction.
BOB promissed me (and us,of course) a Movie-Library in a future version. If I have a WORKING Movie-Library,you'll have the FUN file from Warcraft !(but NO graphics). Why ?
2)I'm using Blizzard's Characters Graphic Library.
For copyright reasons,I can't give objects from it !
for Johnie
After my woodcutters cut down one tree they stop....
It's true.In the original game (in a lot of cases) they do the same !
Maybe I'll fix this.
a neat feature to add is a random map generator
I hope you realize that I could easy implement a random map,but this is not the point.
The original game has "fixed" maps for each mission.
I wanna respect their work !
Thanks both of you for sugestions and I'm waitin' for more
cheers

Excellent idea !Quote:

But your solution (with cookies) is not what I have in mind.
(a lot of people delete the cookies at the end of a session)
I'll use an advanced SAVE system (CGI or PHP based) with username, password, mission number,stats,etc...)
:mrpimp:
new features:
- Lumber MILL
increased lumber production and new target for choppers (!)
- expanded map (x4) (!)
enough area to build your (future) city.
- MiniMap monitor & controller (!!!)
now you can control everything with a single mouse click.
- a lot of corrections.
note: not enough tested.
I need SMART testers ! ;)
cheers
Smart testers ?!!? That counts me out .. I'll just be an opinionated observer.
Looking better all the time. :)
I'd be a tester if you'd like, Necro.
Thanx guys.
Here's a tip:
Flash 6 Player works 50% faster than Flash 6 plug-in.
I'll make a Warcraft projector for you,but until then, just check your "Temporary Internet Files" and search for "warcraft.swf"
;)
Some bugs,something ?
What is a smart tester? Also the program works on my 450 and 550 MHz computers. I mean that their is no lag or choppy screens.Quote:

1) A "smart" tester is a ... joke !Quote:

(the Windows projector).
Please do not promote the last link !
I'm waiting for your opinions.
cheers
Looks good Necro. One thing: In your game, when you click on a peasent, he makes a peon's sound...Maybe change that, not that it really matters.
Make peasents able to attack. :)
Ha ha ha ... that's right (you played Warcraft for sure !)Quote:

Make peasents able to attack. :)
But this was my wish ... I like a lot that sound !
Wait a bit for footmans, archers & knights if you want some fights !
:mrpimp:
Gotcha...but will the peasants/pons be able to attack, like in the real game, but do pretty bad damage.
Also , maybe in a very future version, have a primitive map editor. ;)
1) Be sure of that !Quote:

2) Map Editor ? Not so soon !
A future step (not this year) can be Johnie's idea: LOAD/SAVE
If this feature works fine (hundreds of variables must be saved & loaded),I'll think about Custom Maps.
:mrpimp:
Heh, yea...it is pretty hard...I have done it before, but I dunno about a load-save feature. Good luck Necro.
P.S: Add some cheat codes Like in Warcraft 2-3. :).
Its still running fine on the k6. I'm impressed.
Its still under 300K. Good work.
WooHoo.
Looking better all the time.
Is there some early pathfinding gone into this? :p
Also noticed that when the peons finish up a stand of trees they move onto the next one. :)
And I want to nail that orc that is stealing my gold!
This is looking good.
for Johnie ...
Glad to hear Johnie.
Tell me when is your birthday.Maybe I'll visit you and give you a P4/2Ghz as gift. ;)
cheers
for Owen ...
- multilevel PathFinding implemented (need some corrections anyhow).
- Auto-searching for new trees (this was for ORCs,because they're controlled by computer, but now it's available for humans too).
- the first battle probably this year !!!
news:
A strange bug was solved today: in some conditions, peons & peasants could walk thru buildings. Now they must find another way ...ha ha ha
:mrpimp:
I like messing with the insides of the computer to much so I keep the K6 around to tinker with.
I'm going to build a Mini ITX out of an old wooden chocolate box I have (10"X13"x3" Balsa Wood). I'm waiting for the EPIA M series http://www.viavpsd.com/product/epia_...therboardId=81 to come out though... They should be out in December and are supose to be 17 CM X 17 CM although I think that may be a mistake as the other Mini ITX boards are 170 cm by 170 cm (6.5" X 6.5"). although if it is to expensive (more than $200) I will just use a EPIA 800.
