Craig Packer, Distinguished McKnight Presidential Professor of Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior, has been elected a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The academy is an international society that promotes service and study of social, scientific, and intellectual issues. Packer, an internationally known expert on animal behavior and evolution, has been a member of the University faculty since 1983. Also elected this year were 4 Pulitzer Prize winners, 3 Nobel Prize winners, Bill Gates, Kofi Annan, and Walter Chronkite.
