I doubt they made the actual 3d models, I'm sure ford has models of every single piece of the truck, so unless it's in some proprietary format it would definitely be crazy to build them from scratch.Quote:

Im with aversion here, Ford needs the 3d models for the engineers to get their ideas and everything across to the execs of the company. 2a was probably sent a 3d model and they animated as necissary.Quote:

OMG 2A has reached a level of insanity in designing!! Dayum!! I noticed they r trying to incorporate the Bluish Neon light transition as the host enters the scene the way Infinium Labs did

I don't see why you'd use the flash comm server for something like this, the flash comm is really only useful if you're doing dynamic stuff, like video chat, this is 'static' in the sense that it's just a video, you'd load it like any other SWF I assume. It would just be preloaded.Quote:

A strong belief that the 3D models were outsourced by a 3rd party.Viewpoint had previously created the 3D models for the Ford Expedition, and 2A was responsible for the Expedition site itself.

I heard the same thing, from CarandDriver, motortrend... one of those car shows on Spike TV. At least a billion dollars went into the development of this truck. But eye candy doesn't change my mind on wanting the truck, i wanted before i saw the site, I just want it now since i've seen it. Nah, it screams Pixelranger. It has Flashlevel-esque AE stuff, but it still screams Pixelranger and 2A.

Thats crazy man, even the main site looks great, but the flash video of the guy and the 3d models looks stunning. 2A really know how to set the standard!
