I must say,,, I knew that this was going to be a more or less beta version of the swf import feature (BUT Koolmoves as it is , and has always has been is as good as ever it was), I personally have had a few glitches but nothing on par with what I am reading about here. I wonder if it's because I am importing my own SWF files and not trying to steal someone elses which were compiled on a different program. Just a thought,,,,, Cheers
I looked at the intro.swf I was sent. The missing element is the wav sound associated with a button. The context help associated with the import swf as an editable movie warns that missing elements are likely for now. A missing font message is more for my benefit at this point in time and has nothing to do with fonts missing on the person's computer. It will take probably 6 months to get all the missing pieces but version 4.4 (with a shared movie clip library) will dramatically improve the completeness of the import.
Even Flash itself does not do a particularly good job of importing swfs. If I am not mistaken all the action script is skipped and most of the shapes are shoved into one level. At least koolmoves does a half decent job of importing action script and retains morphing in most situations.
It is a process and will take time. Waiting for a perfect import and holding up other valuable functionality and fixes did not make sense.

Anyway,Flash MX 2004 Pro has the same problem with missing fonts.

Ahh.. Well Saruman did actually beg a pipefull of Longbottom bytes from Peregin on the road back to Rivendell,,, Just hope Bob gets there before "Sharky"... Cheers.
