PM me if you have any other questions
I'd like to moderate the Photography forum as well as the Flash Actionscript forum.
I haven't been very active lately, but I have my reasons.
the best idea to come out of this thread is the creation of a new 'design' sub-category. i think this would attract a lot of members, and would be extremely useful to our typical visitor. i don't think finding mods should be an issue. there are plenty of experienced, professional, tenured, responsible, contributing members here *cough*.
i'd participate in a photography forum here on FK. any excuse to get out and take more photos works for me. finding mods for it isn't really a reason to not make the room in my opinion. EVP could definently handle it in the beginning. nords has shown some impressive work in the weekly challenges and he's been here since 2000. there's no reason to think he wouldn't stick with it.
there's way more than DOF, comp, and lighting to discuss. some of these have been mentioned already, but it wont hurt to repeat.Quote:
As far as learning photograply basically what you have are the basics
Depth of focus and composition. unless your into model's portrature where lighting comes strongly into play.
The rest of it is really darkroom/graphics editor techniques which really is personal selective process and varies from program to program.
-equipment (not just cameras. lenses, filters, flashes, film, etc)
-techniques (exposure, apperture, ISO, white balance)
-35mm (multiple exposures, overexposing, infared film)
-lomography (cameras, color bleeding)
EVP, i used to have a Mavica too :)
I know that was directed at me, :PQuote:
