I just compressed the videos using Sorenson Squeeze and published them as .swfs...then I just load them into a container clip once you click the thumbnail. I go ahead and load the whole thing before I play them so there's no interruption., but you could just as easily start to play them after a certain percentage was loaded and probably be okay. The controller I just downloaded from somewhere...can't remember where.

It's nice because my audience (family) mostly has broadband, so I don't have to try and make things too small.

I just had a look at Sorenson Squeeze. It looks like a very easy to use program. Thanks for the info. Now, if I can just learn a bit more about this "Streaming" stuff! LOL Granny that I am, it take a bit for me to catch on! But I am learning. ;-)

Now that MSPamela encouraged me to look around here, I've registered as a member and try to post a picture I took a few weeks ago. The boys are sons of my brother- and sister-in-law, and while one of them is playing a game on my PDA, the other looks as if to ask: when is it my turn?...
The foto was taken with a Sony Cybershot F828, with extra flashlight turned sideways.

Nordberg, OH HOW CUTE!!! I love the one of him looking out the doggie door!! And the pumpkin patch one should be framed!! simply adorable!
btw, I added a bit of wording to the rules... :angel: Maybe this will help get some more fotos in here! LOL Rules can be changed! :thumbsup: In fact, it might be neat to see some older with the new! Oh and "Baby" is not defined with an age limit! :p

those shots of Isabel are really cool. the overal palette is amazing, and she really seems to be acting herself. you can really tell in that second shot. you've obviously have a rapport with her. cool stuff.

aren't kids really fun to shoot? they almost make it easy. like everyone's shots here, getting down on the child's level is a great way to a great shot. a lot of communication is eye to eye, and it's certainly no different when you are seeing through a lens.

Thanks Nordberg. She is as most children at that age, a Ham! My son calls her our little Hambone!
I was pleased with the colours and how even though they are not your normal "child" colours, they accented her colouring well.
Yes Children are fun to photograph! They are so natural and they give us a chance to be young ourselves again, if only for a few moments while coaxing a smile!
You are lucky to have such a young one! You have years of fun ahead of you. Enjoy!

Luvenny, you should go out and take a few pics of kids........... they are great to watch and such hams when you point a camera at them!

You know, that is a great idea.

The only prob is, here at where I live, pointing camera to a random kid will lead to a bigger problem =P
Especially if we try to get a close up pic of them.

And I don't have "access" to a not random kid.

Oh well...

LOL! You just live in the US! Well, I have often just walked up to a playground and explained to a parent that I am a photographer and ask if I could photograph their child. Usually they are quite nice and say yes!

i don't think it is "right", but i think parents will be much more willing for an unfamiliar woman to take photos of their child than an unfamiliar man.

[back on topic/] there are some brilliant photos in here, i especially like nord's pic with the cat/dog flap :D

While in the park today I saw this Beautiful Child! Of course you are right Carly and I thought about what you said while I was asking the parents if I could fotograph this little beauty.

I have been on Flashkit for a while now and just noticed the Photography forum.. I love it and inspired me to add a photo.. Hope this is ok..This is my daughter and our new beagle(well new last summer). Shot with a Canon EOS10D.
