Ok then. Here comes the pain.
Well do ya have what it takes, well do ya? Hehe.
this is going to be a fun battle. I rushed this one a bit because I at least wanted you to have something to work on, seeing as you put together such a nice serve. Take your time, Im going to be busy in code, so you have time to play.

I'm diggin' it, 3P. Man down! :D
Oh it hurts it hurts. Just like I like it lol. Great work, I was worried about getting stumped on this one but you gave me plenty to work with. I'll get to work a soon as possible.
great job blending the bottom pic with the canvas. Cool idea
Holy ****! This battle is looking awsome! Superb work from both!
NOW, we have a battle. Nice work 3P.
I hand in my brushes and tools.
Spectacular work guys, Brava!
Thanks for stroking my ego. LOL
Its been awhile since I've done a battle, and it sure feels good to let the design monster out of its cage. I cant wait to see the next one.

I used the planes and kinda carried over the star concept. Take your time one your return. I'm going out of town tomorrow till sunday. This battle has made me put alot more thought into battles that prior. Kind of a history / photoshop lesson in one.
I like this one Pea. I like the 'old' feel of it, sort of like from an old movie with that grainy aspect. Only thing I can say is that maybe the star should have had some noise to give it the same sort of look.
I'm liking where this battle is headed though. Pretty neat theme you guys have got going on here.
Nice serve + volleys.
I think the last one is lacking alittle in color imo, guess it has its style but doesn't really draw the attention.
Lookin good there. Not really my style and a bit on the grainy side for me, but it does impart a real sense of how war affects people.
the image makes me feel the same way as when I was a kid standing in the front yard watching a tornado form in the distant. For any that live in tornado areas I bet they can attest to the strangeness of it all. The sky gets a funky green/grey the air feels like you could cut it and there is a sense of calm.

Well, this is way outside of my normal style, and I think Im liking it. So far this battle has really juiced up my creativity, so much so I havent been doing anything else.LOL
Might be a hard one to work off, but I know you will come up with something great.

Wow.. That volley is fantastic 3P. Candidate for the awards for sure!
Thanks DaVulf. Its for sure an interesting image. I have seen the soft effect(like on the dandelions) used for awhile now but until now I never tried to duplicate it. I like that look a lot. I think the hardest part was the harness for the bird and the rope. That took some doing to get them to look believable.
Not that harnessed birds and jet bees are believable ;)
3P
I hear you, I definately like the detail work on the harness :).
Maybe a little too much blurring (on the kid and front flowers). I agree with DaVulf that I like the detail on the harness.
Yeah I think I agree on that. Was trying for a center prespective, or folcal perspective. Part of that was because the kid needed to be altered to get rid of the grainyness of the original. the front flower need to be deblurred underneath the beee inorder to match the focal blur. Now as it is the flower is all blurred and the bee is not. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I think I might change that before pea gets back. Not sure if I should though. Any thoughts on if that is acceptable?

3P, just ask Pea what he says. I have slightly changed my volley's before in my Nat battle, and as long as it doesn't affect the composition I don't see the issue.
