Let me know if it works as some of these are very old. I have more if someone is intrested. These are nothing special but are simple and there was help from others in this forum.

tmoore,
thank you for sharing .... I love the pencil one!
I have to run ..... have a nice weekend :-)
this is interesting stuff..
I think Chris is talking a lot of sense about us needing a place to put stuff we want to contribute. I am not even on the same flash planet as Chris and some of the other guys here but I have learned from things I have aquired from them and I would be more than happy to give back to others since none of it is commercial and what goes around comes around.
If you post fun files in the forum they disappear over time and I dont want to have to promise to support links on my servers for long periods.
It would be good to see a resource/contribution site take shape. I also think it would solve many of the "how do I make a" type of questions.

We did have a person doing this but he has stop the site. A good place to start is necromanthus.com. I could spare some bandwidth but I am now working ALL the time and do not spend much time on it.
The forum used to be able to keep an infinite amount of uploaded files. Now there is a small limit so many zip files had to be removed.
I'll have some new ones coming.
Relating to the hijack of this post and posting .fun files...
I just created a KoolMoves swicki:
http://koolmoves-search-swicki-swicki.eurekster.com/
A swicki is a "search engine" that is edited by user suggestion.
It allows for deeper, more precise searches related to KoolMoves.
The search will allways be "in training"... There is a toolbar that appears
when a result is moused over. These tools allow you to suggest that the
result will be promoted, blocked, or deleted...
The more "like-minded" people that use the search the more the results will
be related to KoolMoves... I suggest to start by searching for your own sites and promoting them..
Thanks...
It will be interesting how this ends up.
Have people ever considered dropping the GPL licence into giveaway code so it shouldn't [I had "can't" here but didnt believe it] be used without the resultant code being publicly available too?
Steve
Hello everyone :-)
I just want to comment on the issue of "giving away code".
Let's say someone has an idea for a game so .... he or she would stop by a graphics forum and asks for character drawings, then comes here to get all the code (asking a million questions) and the final resault is some game. THAT is not what I meant when I asked for ActionScript examples.
Last year I bought a little program called Matchware Mediator and after a few days, I was able to crank out one app after the other. Things where good but because the .exe files where not useful for the web I turned to flash. I love KoolMoves, but the scripting part is not easy for me.
SO! I thought maybe if a few people would contribute, there could be some sort of a "practical manual" that shows how to actually do more advanced (but still basic) things.
What I needed back then was:
What code is needed so that an object can be dragged?
What code is needed so that an object can be rotated?
What code is needed so that an object can be made visible or transparent? (alpha)
What code is needed so that I get a 2 digit readout when a slider moves?
Just basic stuff like that. I don't think anyone should give complete solutions away (unless he/she wants to) but if you know and if you have a few minutes, please give us new users the basics so that we can learn.
Sorry about this long replay .....
Have a happy Easter!
