Real nice job guys. Nice volleys all around
Thanks Dricciotti
btw, Can we have have title change please
Cool volley Nguma, I just keep finding more little cows. All food reviews should come like that ;) I know you had to fit it in before work so thats cool, but it looks a little rushed... anyway I'll start mine up now, not sure if I'll get it up tonight or tomorrow. Thanks Dricciotii :) It's good to know people are checking our battle out. FK rocks.
and Ondraedan thanks for the +, it's great to get praise from a master. I've gotta say your Finding Inspiration is one of my all time favourite volleys, you've gotta be happy with that one.
Title Changed.
Nice work, both of you. This is one good battle, I'm lovin' it.
thks EVP

I'm really happy with this one. It was one of those images where you feel like you've "leveled up". Look ma, no brushes! I deliberately left text off the image to allow the symbolism to speak for itself .. hope it's clear.

soory for being a devil in god's land  oKdust, it's a good pic, but from all the creative content you've been showing so far, this is not my fav.
Nevertheless, its a nice execution. something things bothers me with the shadowing/ backligthing of the citadel and on the hands of the praying girl, but all the other parts are pretty well balanced.(the soft light on the green hill, the sky and the girl on the left  ).
Overall, well its great creative fun battling with you. Hope you take my crit all good (don't send god'sface wrath on my @$$) :hubba:
I'll be trying to do something by tomorrow.
the women, being in the foreground, seemed a bit too small and the upperleft edit: upper right i mean :D overlayed clouds look a bit confusing. Apart from that this piece is exellent, especially the blendings are just perfect. I really like the hill with the building and cross and those lights.
edit: at a closer look, the part where the building sits against the hill was not very well done, the cross' one on the hill is much better
Crits are good :) I know what you're saying with the citadel and the hands, I could see that as I uploaded it (I guess I was in a hurry to get it up here). Maybe I'll go back and touch it up a little more and just edit it in. Just wondering, did you see the God straight away?
yeah, god is omnipresent... errr what am i saying...
from far away looks like one big juicy lips
I just fixed the hands and citadel lighting and uploaded it again. Ok, I'll leave it alone now :) Thanks for the feedback everyone, I take on all criticism into my next work and I appreciate it.
By the way, the "message" was something along the lines of "one god, different faiths" .. a kind of call for unity. A sombre break from my previous psychadelic/psychotic volleys :D
I think you had a good concept in mind in this image but the blending is off. Mainly the lighting. It is coming from all sorts of different directions and making the images all look cut out. The shadowing on the cross is a bit to blured at the base of the cross. The castle in the background is flat, I think that if the brightness and contrast was played with just a bit it would blend much better. One more thing. The clouds seem out of perspective. At the angle they seem to be viewed at, they look like they should be further back in the image.
You masking is great and the concept is wonderful but the blending is a little lacking is all.
Thanks for the feedback pea. I really like this image and I think I'll keep working at it away from this battle to make it "perfect" with the blending. I'm new to the whole photo-montage thing really (I usually just do websites), and it's comments like yours that push my skill level up and for that I am greatful :)
I've gotta say though, I really like the clouds. The idea is that the viewer is given a removed perspective and can see 'through the ceiling' in a sense, beyond what the people below can see. I'll tweak that too and see if I can make that more precise.
I think I'm going to stick around here and continue doing battles .. I've learned so much from this one battle alone and it's great to break away from the "corporate" conventions of css and website layout. And this community is great -- strong feedback and useful advice on how to improve the image. Thanks to everyone who has commented :)
here we go...

oups! just noticed i forgot to put an "s" at architects!
now that IS good.
i like it, good texture, and nice feeling to it, great for a normal battle, but really...i'm disapointed, this battle seemed better then that, like one of the best this month, really i actually thought that, but these last two images...not the %100 effort seems to be in them, exspecially you okdust. I know you guys can do better, cause this battle has been amazing, so keep up the better work.
^ i disagree with that, i think its the best battle right now and im enjoying all of the returns so far. although they use stocks, i still think their works require great skills, not to mention amazing texture works, something im trying to get up to
love that last one nguma. love the textures. it's a shame you missed the s off architects -doh!! the stamps are a nice touch :)
yeah, i agree with jujumon- this battle is rockin'!!
nice quick returns. my only complaint is that the canvas size is too small. i wish these things were bigger- i want MORE.
