[DISC] Promoting your Game - Reasons and Method

well this post seems to have gone a lil spam crazy...

back to the subject of promotion - i posted a game on fkit a few years back and after a single thread it took wings and flew. last time i looked it had well over 10 mill individual players. one thing that worked was sticking a recommend to a friend button firing off an email. just sit back and watch it spam the world.

did also stick a contact form in there for help etc. regretting that, still getting 20 emails a day.


basically a load of 'games for free' sites will link to yours. if you want people to play your game, great. if you dont want leachers then youre severely limiting whos going to play it. your call.

Not to talk up JayIsGames too much, but besides honest reviews, Jay is games is also great for game feedback.

I've seen some author who are linked to from JIG post in the comment section replying to various posters, and getting feedback from them and making changes to their games.
