There´s been talk about it for a while but yeah,the trial version has been released not too long ago (well,when i first posted this thread :) )
But yeah,there was already an opera logo on the wii package,so its been known for some time its coming =)

You enter the wii shop channel from the main menu,there you choose software and then you can download the opera browser trial version for free.

There are also some people already working on using the other buttons of the wii remote with flash content (not just mouse pointer and a button (which resembles a click action)

Had a go on the Wii browser myself (first place I visited was this topic :)). Newgrounds content is out of bounds, since Flash stuff opens in popups on the NG site, and the Wii browser doesn't support 'em.

Wiicade.com looks pretty promising, but they managed to set up the site in such a way that scrolling doesn't work, and if you click 'Back' on the browser button, you lose the sidebars of the site.

The browser appears to be designed exclusively for widescreen TVs - I got a lot of stretching on my friend's 4:3 TV.

Glad to be able to say that my website works stunningly well on the Wii (okay, admittedly it's pretty slow, but the site design feels just as if it was targeted specifically for the Wii). :) Also proud to be able to say that a lot of my games work on it, too. Commando 3 crashes it (*cries*), but Stick Shoot is a dream to play (until you have to reload, which of course you can't). I might release a Wii update of it. :D

Newgrounds usually gets closed imediently here: to many graphics to load and ancient pop-up design. I absolutely dislike their design- because it takes just to long to load! -id say let newsground rethink their design- popups aren´t anymore design patterns like they used to be 4-6 years ago.

I´ve been an opera user for more than 5 years (I raelly love that piece of software) and it gotten better & better with opera support on websites.

Does the browser currently have flash plugin or do i have to download it? I cant play many flash files on my Wii, including linerider.

I've always said (for many years now) that the web is primarily a mouse-driven medium, and thus Flash games that target a wide audience should be completely mouse driven.
