Thanks guys!
carly, the seemingly excess bumps on the left hip are because of the bubble distortion.

oh yeah you're right- sorry! just didn't look right at first glance.
haha. sweet image man, i like it. Quick turnaround too.
I really dig that last one O, the colors are vibrant and the blending/shadows are great.
edit: I just noticed a little black line on the left where the bubble is going off of the canvas. Not a big deal but it caught my eye.
Thanks NJ and CI!
Yeah, I thought I had gotten all the black from the left side there, guess not...Strange that I didn't notice it though.
crazy eyes!
I really like how the girl has a look like she was made from a really good animation, rather than an actual stock photo
soorry i havent returned, just been busy. soon though i promise
It's fine man take your time.
O, I must have missed that last image somehow. Really nice. I've noticed that all of your images look really crisp. How do you get them to look like that? Is it the stock, or some sort of treatment that you give?
For instance, that girl looks perfectly crisp, although clearly she has been chopped. Likewise, that grass looks perfect. Did you get that from sxc?
Thank you DaVulf! I am always careful to choose high quality stock, and that certainly helps with the crispness. In cases like the girl, where there's a fair amount of distortion involved that really kills the crispness, I'll sometimes use the smudge tool and smooth out any graininess, and then use the polygonal lasso, paintbucket, and dodge/burn to reconstruct edges that have become too blurry. And yes, the grass is from sxc, I believe.
It's a couple days late, but it's here. Hard to distinguish the carried aspect, but since I didn't want to use my last image again, I used the white background in the snow. No prizes for creativity this time around =(

Love it, and a nice use of lens flare :)
And nice one, NJ, good work on the blending.
I like both those images O and NJP3. Love the idea of NJp3's image
The text in both of them (more so in NJP3s') is a little hard to read on at least my bright Mac display.
i love NJP3's image. very simple and to the point yet also eye pleasing. The only issue i have with it, would be the puzzle itself. I know you used a stock photo for this, but what i would have loved would be for the missing puzzle piece to be the girl's head. I think that would have added an extra dimension to the image. Pulls things apart a bit more. Otherwise damn near perfect.
