i only mention that he is south korean, because law states they(legal aliens) need even more Id to purchase weapons they US born citizens.
my questions is, if someone has a gun, would you be safer with or without a gun of your own.
if you say without your out of your freaking mind.
And say a 90lb women is walking home from a bar and does get mugged, she better have some sort of weapon(gun/pepper spray/taser) otherwise shes going to be robbed, possibly kidnaped/raped/killed.
you would take the assault then?Quote:

I'm not opposed to gun in defense but you need to know that the person using it isn't going to go rampant with it. People need to understand that, like the law in Britain is equal force, if they threaten your life then you could kill them without getting to much of a hard time in court. However, with some people this is not the case, a large amount of people would, in clear conscious, take a gun to someone and shoot them for something very trivial.
BTW don't think I think the UK is all that great, although gun crime levels are extremely low the knife is a favorite over here, its just much harder to start something like what happened VT with a knife.
p.s. Lets keep it nice in here. No naughty words and taunts for me to commit suicide when I reach 70 years old like last time :P
Borrowed from the what if.
What if your a crazed killer?
Then you do need a clip that can hold 19 rounds.
I can see that individuals do at times need a weapon to defend themselves. I've never read of an incident where someone in self defense needed 19 rounds.
I have a feeling...my feeling is this recent shooting will have absolutely no impact on U.S. gun control laws. I have another feeling. My feeling is that people from other countries won't stop at trying to convince us to change our laws.
here we go round the merry go round, the merry go round the merry go round...

Fine....go commit suicide at 65 now.
I can only recall one gun massacre in the UK which was in Scotland where a man went into a primary school and gunned down a whole class of 6-7 years olds and their teacher. Can't remember the name of it though...
I know what you mean Visionray but do you honestly believe that the gun laws shouldn't be changed even a little bit? Sure they shouldn't be banned completely because America is meant to be the "land of the free"
I prefer the family guy take of the second amendment is just badly written out and really means every American has the right to hang a pair of bear arms on their wall.
50 years later you will have forgotten ;)Quote:

Yeah, but you have to understand the time it was written. That was when the 'army' was just an armed militia. So then it made perfect sense. Now that there are semi-automatic weapons and automatic weapons that can kill hundreds in a mater of moments it doesn't make sense.
I NEVER FORGET!!! Wait....what day is it today?
Let me just say this, Gun Control Laws only take guns away from law abiding citizens, the one who should be allowed to protect themselves. There will never be a law that stops some retard, drunk, maniac or other non-lawful individual from getting their hands on a gun.
I submit to you Texas. The state of Texas has the most lax gun laws in the entire Union, but they also have the lowest gun related crime rate in the Union. Why...?
Would you walk into a liquor store, mini mart (even a school) waving a gun around knowing full well that Billy Bob has a canon strapped to his hip, Grandma has a .24 stuffed in her purse, and the shop keeper (teacher, students, etc.) is packing as well? I think you'd start considering other options for employment if you were a burglar...
For those of you who like to take things away from other people (this goes for you who do not live in MY country as well...) just remember that once the door has been opened to allow someone else's rights can be attacked, that only means that your rights will be attacked sooner or later. Pointing the finger now only leads to the finger being pointed at you further on down the road.
And besides, if someone can make it through the 500ft of yard and get to my house without me shooting them, they can have my guns.

true story.
to be honest i have no problem with waiting periods or background checks... i honest think they should be implemented. but that would not have prevented what happened at vt. Wouldn't stop alot of other crimes either as must guns used in crimes are illegally obtained.Quote:

How often do most Americans encounter an angry bear on the lose?
