Typically, the tourney will start at the beginning of March; perhaps the last week of February depending on how many people sign up.
You will have 5-6 days on average to make an image. In the past we tried to keep a schedule of 1 round per week. So, you will have 5 days to make an image, then there will be 2 or 3 days of voting. Once the voting is finished, new stock images and pairings go out the next day.
Just saw your post lefty. Some issues we had:
-players getting matched up against the same person every year (Nords had this problem i think)(That was my fault :( )
- No shows. They are always problems. People sign up and then get busy. It happens every year.

I posted an announcement in the Arena for this. We could also post one in the other Design/Animation forums (but that would take some sort of SUPER-MOD!)
my only issue is i think people completely new to the boards that enter should throw down with someone so they can be more fairly seeded. we had a couple of those last year that had some amazing skill but got seeded fairly low.
i think the seeding process has gone relatively smoothly. I wouldn't be opposed to suggesting a new person to do an image in an open battle. But i don't konw if it should be a requirement.
Just my 2cents. I'd definitely like to hear other's opinions.
