sublime
futuristic sex robots
tim minchin
and a few others I forget now
Huge into Pearl Jam again after seeing them in concert last week, 4th Avenue Jones, Swollen Members.
An odd mix I suppose.
ah add Sex Mob to my list as well for recent listens.
i might be joining/starting a rockabilly band in the near future, so it's been a crazy collection of bands.
Necromantix, Lee Rocker and Rev Horton Heat have been on constant rotation.
Lefteye I suggest Sex Mob to be added to your list.
I was like..."Flobots, hmm? I don't think soooo..." But then I was flipping thru OnDemand/Music/Videos By Genre/Alternative/Flobots: Handlebars/ (sorry, no link, but go check it out - Comcrap is the same for everyone, right?!?)Quote:

Seriously - go watch it if you haven't...sorta reminds me of a radiohead-esque video - both captivating & too unique to classify.
here on youTube
"I can lead a nation with a microphone."
Though I usually catch on to things later than everyone else, so maybe everyone's seen it...
i'll say it again....
worst lyricist since Fred Durst. THE WORST.
eew, let's not use the 'F' word...I need to go wash my hands just from typing a reference to him. :P
Yes, but these days, who isn't?! ;) Some of the lines were kinda funny (the remote control), some were utter garbage, but a scant few were good because of the delivery & the video - like I said, I wouldn't like this if it weren't for the video, which is really worth watching.
Music is pretty disposable these days...
that's the problem. it's disposable...which is the exact translation of crap.
Yep, take what you can get! ;)
I will (easily) admit that this certainly doesn't move me the way that Ani, or Dave, or Thom does - but you gotta admit that the video is well done.
yeah?
I really enjoy this Lil Wayne lyric off his new cd Carter III.
because that makes sense...panda anyone?Quote:
And yeah I'm a bear like black and white hair
So I'm polar
If it was :
"And yeah I'm a bear like black skin and white hair"
- would be polar (because, ya know, they have black skin)
Well, that & the fact that "panda" doesn't rhyme with "solar" ;)
all of his lyrics are pretty out there but that song is really out there. I don't even know why I listened to that cd.
