RBS vs TheDarkness

Hmmmm I'm not sure with this one Rbs there is things I like and then there is things I do not like, but then im like also confused by what is in the image and how it flows. Like for example I like the box patterns but more so where the skull is. Im not sure if you played with the lighting on the skull if so nice work. I feel like the back ground color is soothing to me. now with the scissors the Rbs graffiti im not sure of the purpose they serve in the image if you could give me some back ground on what you were trying to achieve with this one. Oh Ill get you that psd as well. its not a bad image, it's just choppy so to speak. we will see what I come up with.

About the skull, i made some changes in the lightning, not much but still.
About the graffiti, i tried to apply a street style to the image.
Anyway man i need this criticism, its great. that is the way to learn!!!

I agree with Darkness on this one. I like most of the elements, but they don't quite come together as a whole.

I like the textures of the skull and the buildings, but they seem a little misplaced on the purple sky. It feels conflicted.
I get the message, I just think the composition could be more fluid.

Darkness... I like it. It has that Grand Theft Auto feel.
I really like the scratchy, worn feel. This is a fun image.

I didnt think about GTA when I was doing it. the girl is an actual drawing I did in all pencil transfered her to ps and went to work on it. the Japanese if translated correctly should say Toxic Jungle.the scratches is from a brush I made up. I'm curious to see what Rbs will do with this one.

I really like this one Rbs I"m feelin the textures colors, detail of the weapons on the left and right side. I like the placement of the girl and symbols behind her very nice. Now the take aways that i see the girls shadow is not placed so that she doesn't look as though she is floating.(Gerbick has told me that a few times :) ) and some of the edges around the girl are not as clean ( around the hair) very subtle though nice piece.

To create the symbols behind the girl i used with brush and texture that i created and duplicate it several times.
About the shadow, i did used it but in opacity of 30%. i didn't want it to be exaggerated.

Hey Darkness, its funny but i just looked at your first picture in this battle,
and when I asked you where is the part of my first image, you said:
part of your image was the words first kiss in which I used as an etching in the tree on the right hand side mid ways down with in the heart that that I created as is they carved it in the tree trunk. Cool I"ll look for it.
Well I think that I did not relate to it somehow, any way i opend it in Photoshop, I played with the brightness and i just wanted you to see the differents:

maybe your screen brightness is too low or maybe it's my problem. just a thought.
