Startup.com was on frontline I believe. It detailed the rise and fall of silicon valley.
Bush's Brain (Karl Rove story) was pretty boring but man what a POS Rove is!
That dude planted a bug in his own office and blamed it on the competition the day before a debate. And he was just getting started.
Slacker Uprising was kinda stupid. Just a bunch of Michael Moore grandstanding on his tour prior to the '04 election. "Look what I almost did!"
I just watched Hear and Now on HBO again. It's an amazing documentary about an older couple that decides to get colicular implants and hear for the first time in their lives. It's quite eye opening and really makes you understand how much we take our hearing for granted.
That is a good one.
it wasn't until they had their 6 month check up with the audiologist when i realized what they were really going through. To hear words they they speak and understand but not know what was said even when they heard it was just a conundrum that i still am trying to wrap my head around.
I woke up this morning to an episode of extreme makeover where the whole house was customized for the deaf parents and thought, for that kinda money they could paid for two implants.
if you watch hear and now, you'll see that implants aren't all they're cracked up to be for someone who has never heard a sound before.
Man. Did you see the piece on Real Sports about child labor in India, making soccer balls?
The saddest thing I've seen in a long time.
yeah, i did see that. and weren't they sold in Wal-Mart where they "have a strict policy to ban vendors who use children as laborers"? And it wasn't a knock off soccer ball, it was a highly recognized name. I was very surprised at that.
Real Sports is a damn good show that I don't watch enough of. And ESPN's new sports doc show is pretty good too, not as controversial, but pretty good nonetheless.
i watched religulous and it was pretty good. if u like bill mahr
religulous is not a documentary. It's listed as a comedy made by the same guy who made borat. Hence, facts are nothing, even if it's shot like a documentary.
Bill Maher made borat?
no and he didn't make religulous.
he has the only writer credit.
Larry Charles made both.
check out the machine that changed the world.
Thank you :)Quote:

There is an interesting section on a legal case where a man got out of paying his mortgage because the bank loaned money that never existed. There's also a hard to swallow yet appealing section on a utopic resource vs. profit based society.
