want more?
If I had the time or the motivation I could rant for a good few hours about your foolishness, but can't seem to raise the pulse enough to dedicate the energy.Quote:

or if someone's already been to San Francisco, it's not really worth anyone else going there? /Couldn't resist
Sure, the first person going to San Fransisco is a big deal, but when's the last time moving to san fran made the news? ;)Quote:

Yep. I think that's about it.
Without sensationalizing it, most won't get it, would they

The satellite is carrying a total of 11 instruments, including high-resolution cameras and spectrometers that will help it in analysing the lunar surface.
While five of the instruments are Indian, six of them have been supplied by US space agency (Nasa), the European Space Agency (Esa) and Bulgaria.
Chandrayaan 1 on launcher
The mission will launch from an island in the Bay of Bengal
They are being carried free of cost - an indication of how much India wants this mission to be seen as a collaborative one that can benefit everyone.
Innocence will not help you, sorry.
This is nonsensical at best.Quote:

Funny you mention the word 'nonsensical' in a thread with many members hell bent on defaming the achievements of a country by absolutely absurd talk and below the belt jokes instead of even a dot of appreciation.
Pathetic!
I was first to correct Adobemedia. Acknowledge that first, or silence.
It is an accomplishment. Now, let's start with that. The other parts... I don't agree with at all. And if anybody steps over the line; they've been corrected by myself, Hanratty or Hurricaneone; if not by your own countrymen.
Now. What else do you see that needs to be done? Clear, concise sentences would be preferred. Not some oddly written sentence.
I acknowledge your and Hurricaneone's perspective, I really did, no doubt about it, though I don't know what did you mean by 'or silence', which really comes out rather rude, especially coming from a knowledgeable person like yourself.
Thank you for acknowledging this great achievement in the history of Indian science.
Even though hanratty21's post started out as how a normal person would have a perception about people from different countries which I agree with, I was not pleased with the 'light bulb' sarcasm, which I am sure any other person from any other country won't take it for what is seen as their major scientific development.
I am not ordering around anything, neither I am like that or I have the power. My sentences are really thought out and crystal clear and I keep at it.
I really think the way Adobemedia and silverx2 are discussing in their last posts seems so absurd and kiddish, that, since observing their previous posts by these fellows on other topics, I am sure they are not that dumb, which concludes that their only intention is defamation.
Your statement came out rather rude too; and odd. Start there. I responded to your original rude statement with (per your statement) my own. Your statement was cryptic and shows that you have not ignored the other worthless statements. I'm a science buff, so I've decided to ignore the statements that I personally don't agree with. I suggest you do the same.
After seeing how Koolbabs had responded to the train picture - I was about to remark on it until he did... hell, he laughed it away. So since there was no cry for foul; I kept on going as even he had.
In regards to the jibes and jokes, take them in stride. I've had to endure (even in this thread) that oft-referred to stereotype of Americans, SUV's, french fries... blah blah. Not one single person on this board doesn't know of another country's stereotype.
Your countrymen made it to the Moon. I'd personally still be celebrating personally. I know it took me a few days to calm down when the Phoenix Lander (on Mars) sent it's last tweet.
You want to know their intent, ask. Assuming is a foolish endeavor.
Sorry if you thought that my sudden instinctive reply was anyway targeted at you, it might have looked rude but not odd, and to understand the proper context one has to really look at how the flow of this thread has been, sensibly and emotionally.
I overlook useless posts most of the times but this time this was just over the top, considering the subject involved, for me at least.
It was not assumption but my observation, and if you observe someone's posts over a period of time, the intentions become pretty clear.
Oh yea? Picture of a dinosaur-sized-condom in place of an Indian satellite, an overcrowded train, and then the light-bulb-crap clearly shows these people thoroughly enjoy making fun of other nations achievement no matter what and you say its just worth ignoring? Only lizards and frogs with no emotional sense can do that.Quote:

Chill it Deepak. Unnecessary stretching of a stupid discussion won't help.
Awesome links in your footer. Be careful not to encroach or surpass the 5 line limit.Quote:

Pshaw, and you call this a great achievement?! Well, you'll be most impressed to know that Venezuela* finally launched** its own geosynchronous satellite*** to finally achieve technological independence. Our great leader Chávez said this satellite is truly socialist, because a capitalist company would have launched it for profit****.
* China.
** From China, in a chinese rocket.
*** Designed and built in China, by the chinese.
**** Unlike the chinese, who only charged us 406 million dollars.
I'm sorry sir... but you've dropped some of your sarcasm on the floor and the table.
@adit_ya_sharma
Sir, if I have offended you, I apologize. As for my reply to Silver's post, that was not meant to be sarcastic. If you took it that way, sorry.
As for the jokes, seriously. They are jokes.
