[SHOW] A Typical Wednesday Afternoon

Although I'm coming to this a little late, I'll heap more praise on it...
It's really great, looks lovely. (I'm really hopeless at this type of game, so I didn't get to see very far into it, but I'm sure the later stuff is just as good)
I did wonder why your 'hero' is a square rather than a spaceship?

Squize - Yep, I read it daily too :). 41st reality was featured in their top 20 indie games of 2008. It's definitely an encouragement to see my games on sites like that.

charlie_says - Thanks mate :). I'm not sure I can really answer why a square :p. I guess it completes the pattern...neon - triangle, 41st reality - circle, ATWA - Square. (No that wasn't the real reason).

I just want to reiterate this.

Once you lose a life after about 2 million points, theres no coming back.

Ramp down the difficulty on death, or make it a single life game I think.

the only really bad thing i noticed is that if u die once
is pretty impossible to catch up to the game and u just end up dien because u cant kill anything and the screen is full of enemies+their bullets

I guess that in wanting to make a hard game I didn't really consider the fact that 95% of flash games are very casual these days and that’s what people are used to. I just wanted to make something more in line with the really hard bullet hell games out there. I appreciate everyone’s feedback though, I'll definitely make my next shmup more tame so everyone has a chance :).

I actually don't have a problem coming back after losing a life myself, but then I did make it so I've had a lot of practice :p.

Don't get me wrong, I love bullet hell games. DoDonPachi is great, with even more bullets than this game. But in that game, when you die you have the ability to go and collect your powerups immediately. Here you are stuck with your basic weapon and enemies that took a long time to kill with MAX weapon, giving you almost no chance at winning.
