I was almost 24 and a year away from graduating when I took my chance and jumped head-first into design. 3 years later I graduated and 2 years later I'm finally starting to make what I'm worth.

play music while you can. by the time i was 23 my band was touring a lot, on a record label, etc. it was great, but by the time i was 25 we were sick of it. the musicianship and creative outlet was what i wanted, but the hours and work environment sucked. i like my nice climate controlled creative office job now!Quote:

yeah cybersaint! follow your dreams man!! go for the gusto! in fact... my advice to you is to do something over the top to show the other members of your band just how devoted you really are!! for starters i bet the guitarist would like to have a new 7 string guitar!!

I am going to have a 4 string for funky slappin&poppin (which I have now), a 5 string for gettin the low stuff, a 5 string fretless, and an acoustic bass.

to avoid the expense, i had this great guitar guy i know take out the frets and inlay some nice wood - it worked beautifully, and now i have 'fret lines' which helps guitarists play with me. i have an acoustic too, but it isn't nearly as fun as when i'm plugged in. i don't do the 10 inch speakers (although i should) - i play through a 15 inch with an 18 inch subwoofer (SWR). when you stand in front of it, it blows your clothes around like you're in a tornado :D:D it's thick and muddy, but that's how i like it:)Quote:
