no, that doesn't work. it sorts the list by groups yes. but the contacts that are offline are still on the list. it's sooooo long now, i can't see easily who's online.. i would like to have it that way that the offline contacts are not on the list. can't find how...
I don't think its possible. The only way would be to seperate them into offline and online then click on the offline title to close that menu.
