Hey Necro,
Naaah...... people can modify the AudiA4.fun file and take it apart any way they wish but if it is used as is (as I created it) I would like credit for it....is all.
Thanks again for posting it.

A lot of people asked for a "scroling menu bar" (mouse controlled).
Here's a starting point !
Feel free to modify anything you want.
p.s.
It looks familiar somehow.Don't you think ?
...ha ha ha

I was able to do a experimental scrolling menu bar atQuote:

http://home.att.net/~diversioncentra...sitemenu2.html
(I work full time so I do not have time to be fancy)
I do not understand what this means but I know it is key on the operation and the number 4 is?
on(press){_root.page.gotoAndPlay(4);}
When I view the britneyspears menu, the menu goes reverse of the mouse. I could not get this to happen. Well I did but then the speed of the scroll was way to slow. Need to keep playing. I do not know enough to manipulate the script yet. I could not figure out how to control the speed also.
This was a great file.
Tim Moore
1)" on(press){_root.page.gotoAndPlay(4);} "
This button set a jump to page no.4
2)"the menu goes reverse of the mouse. I could not get this to happen"
Because it wasn't my wish.Easy: just change the sign for _root._xmouse
3)"I could not figure out how to control the speed also"
Easy: change the divider (smaller one) for XS and YS
cheers
It's time for a "3D Menu" for my KoolMoves section.
Check yourself !
:mrpimp:
Neat. :)
Remus:
Very smooth motion and size transition...silky smooth.
One comment though...the rotation speed is a bit fast (to me) dropping the rate would allow an easier read.
Just my $.02
Bob C.
Thanks guys for support.
BTW,check again because has a new look:
double rotation,10 buttons per "wheel",new colors,messages.
p.s.
I'm waiting for some COOL examples from you because Warcraft engine make me nuts !(probably next month the first preview).
cheers
A lot of people asked me for a nice CLOCK for their websites.
I hope you'll like this "ancient" design.
p.s.
I know Hilary has a nice example too.
A cool "miscelaneous" example (the "ActionScript Examples" wheel is full so ... ha ha ha).
Solve the puzzle and you'll know the girl's name.
If you think that you're a BEAUTY,please feel free to change the girl's face with yours (ha ha ha).
http://necromanthus.com/KoolMoves/puzzle.html
p.s.
RealTime 3D Render FUN file is also available !
The look of my KoolMoves section has changed.
objectives:
1) easy & faster navigation
(no more sophisticated 3D rotations)
2) smaller SWF (17KB instead of 36KB)
If you own a nice site (KM based only) and you wanna be in my "Hall of Fame",just give me a sign !
At this time, only BOB,HILARY and OWEN are there.
cheers
WooHoo! :D
A nice example about how to manipulate sound-objects.
(well,not perfect implemented in KoolMoves).

Have (a lot of) fun !
hahaha! :D
I want your brain!
Dear Santa.
I have been a good boy this year.
Please dump the contents of Necro's brain on a CD rom set, and put the CDs in my stocking. I will leave out a pillowcase in case the stocking is too small.
Alternatively, just leave them at the foot of my bed.
Thank you
I actually made a 90 sec song with the notes that you gave OwenAusQuote:

My brain is useless now (is overloaded because I work to put 2 grunts to destroy the human city) :p
for Tmoore...
I'm glad to find another music lover (I'm a "Sound Maker" after all).
Post a link for us to hear your masterpiece. ;)
Hee Hee... Love it Necro :)

Heya, Tmoore. I would also like to hear the piece, if possible.
Thanks :)

But the samples were only for online purposes (poor quality).
I can help you with some professional HQ samples if you wanna make some music.
p.s.
You have a nice site. What about your link section ?
:)
The recording was an impulse. I liked the way the bass boomed. The sound is simply a 300.00 fender guitar from mexico, plugged into a 29 dollar sound card and recorded on an old version of cakewalk. I could not tell you what key it is even in. I do have the original wave file. If you know how to make the sound better it would help me, but I do not want to buy a lot of equipment. (I do not even know how the set the levels). In Februray I plan on buying a new computer so I could start there. I would like to make loops that are not choppy and that do not take 5 minutes to load.Quote:

As for the site, I bought MX and have been learning it so I kinda have not been doing anything in Koolmoves at the moment. I will finish the link site this weekend.
I have an old project made in Flash 5 called "Flash Synthesizer".Quote:

If I'll get some spare time (next month),I'll rebuild this project using KoolMoves.
With this stuff you'll be able to compose a 3 minutes - 16 tracks - HiFi melody and less than 500KB (!).
Just remind me next year ...
cheers
Ok thank you. I will take you up on it. I also have flash 5 if you do not want to rewrite.Quote:

I want to rewrite it because V6 has some powerfull new commands.Quote:

Also,if BOB can implement a Movie-Library for KM,a "KM Synthesizer" would be great for all of us ! ;)
Remus,
When you talk about a movie library, what exactly is it you are discussing?
Is it like a component? What makes it different from a loading a swf into a clip, or inserting a fun file?
Tmoore,
(Can we use your first name?) - that is great music.

Howdy, Tim. :)
Good music, man.
A "Movie-Library" is a powerfull feature for Flash (and difficult to implement it too).Quote:

Is like a "bag" with objects (shapes, movies, sounds, etc).
You can ATTACH (import) objects from the "bag" without increasing the SWF size !!! (impossible in KM at this time).
I need this feature BADLY !
:mrpimp:
I need this feature BADLY !
Wooo. Don't we all!
* Has visions of a 30 byte empty swf loading instantly and competing with MS/Star office in functionality * :)
Okay, without increasing swf size - there has to be a trade-off surely, somewhere or the other? The parent file size doesn't increase, but there is a hidden overhead?
Is it like a flash-type dll, or an object library?
(Sorry to bug you with all these Qs.)
NO tricks at all,it's real !Quote:

Use KM and do the following:
- create a child-movie with a lot of graphic keyframes.
- export the SWF and check the file size.
- with "copy & paste", create another child-movie.
- check the SWF size again: allmost DOUBLED !
Using a Movie-Library the size is the SAME !
This is the huge difference.
Also: you'll be able to ATTACH "invisible" Objects.
and much more ...
I wasn't clear enough.Let's try again:
1) without Movie-Library,after "copy & paste" you'll get TWO movies
and TWO place assignments (double size for the selected object)
2) with Movie-Library,after "copy & paste" you'll get ONE movie
and TWO place assignments (the same size for the SWF).
Using KoolMoves,"copy & paste" in different keyframes generate the
same SWF size, but "copy & paste" in the same keyframe generate double
size for the selected object...and this is wrong !
The objects from the Movie-Library are exported in the SWF only if
you assign a name for the desired object. After that, you can use the
object several times (in the same keyframe or not) without increasing
the SWF size.
Also,a powerfull feature is ATTACH command:
mov.attachMovie("name","newname",depth);
snd.attachSound("name");
These commands are worthless without a Movie-Library.
a lot of things to do for BOB ...
lol. :doughnut: I think I am totally confused. I am even confused about whether I am confused .. :p
So in a sense, it makes the library movie a super-symbol, ie, it only stores the movie reference in one place in the finished swf, all in-frame instances are pointers to this - even multiple instances in one frame?
If so, the player works harder? For example, where there is, say, two instances of the movie in one frame, one "normal" and one rotated and shrunk, the player understands this, and handles the situation?
Anyhow, one thing I do know is that I am wasting your time with these Qs, seeing as it is all academic at the mo. But thanks for answering. :)
NO NO ... I was talking about the SWF file ONLY !Quote:

After the file is launched, the situation is different.
In your example (two objects, the second is rotated),in the SWF (Library featured) there's only the "content" of the first object and 2 assignments: for the "normal" one and for the second rotated.
The "real-time" process occures in your system RAM (not in the SWF).
cheers
Okay. I think I have a faint glimmer of what is going on.
Thanks, Remus. :)
I've no time for Flash these days, but I had few hours for Music lovers (and KM fans).
A cool miscelaneous example about sound objects and sliders.
3 tracks per melody at this time.
FUN file available (for the main program only) !
http://necromanthus.com/KoolMoves/SoundTracks.html
(can be accessed from my KoolMoves section too)
notes:
This is the MIXER part from my "Flash-Synthesizer".
All music tracks are Flash-MX featured
(small files,nice quality,MP3 & Z-lib compression).
If you have some intresting ideas, just give me a sign.
BOB,do you wanna become a DJ this year ? ... ha ha ha
enjoy.

It is 3.60
Hello TIM.
Yes,BOB is right: v3.6 only !
Check again because you'll get the first 4 tracks melody and some improvements.
I'm waiting for your creations.
